In my last cube/meanie ID post it was noted that folks around here love seeing all the random other mushrooms and identifying them, so yesterday I made a concerted effort to take a bunch of pics of all the non cubes, for the folks here at the shroomery. Forgive me if I don't include a full breakdown of each one - there are a lot! ALL were shot mid day, swFL field with permission.

Thanks Evly!
What do folks think about #11? Seems like a bolete with the spongy porous underside of the cap/no gills....wondering if it's the king bolete aka porcini mushroom?

11. looks like Leccinum scabrum aka Birch bolete. If change color after slice or touch with hands will be Leccinum pseudoscabrum aka Hazel bolete.

The lack of scabers and pinkish hue in the tubes makes me think it might be Tylopilus.

Also curious - since you mentioned 1,3,4, and 12 as being gymnopilus, I see on the list of florida actives there are several gymno listed. Are any particular active FL gymno's commonly found?
