I mean this is purely anecdotal but with PPE on I have been able to be exposed to people with covid for many months without catching it. It is certainly contagious but it sounds like you are doing a lot of presumptuous speculating.
Also my understanding is that the antibody test might return positive for other coronavirus infections. Those antibodies may be cross reactive, but a small self selection antibody test like that doesnt tell us very much

anecdotal is the best we have, especially if the limits are being tested
and I doubt you can discern between which antibodies came where unless the epitopes were especially unique which is still to be determined

Meaning antibody test aren't exactly 100% accurate. After looking at the most recent charts its tough call. In America's chart which I see as one of the more accurate pictures I think we see an initial outbreak in April may and then the sag is evidence of the efficacy of social distancing. Everything is either pushing saw teeth sideways or seems to be in a decending triangle. We knew this would happen as time passed and social distancing is relaxed. Its not doing anything to indicate to me that the true second wave will be more severe and infact i believe mortality is dropping.

Of course you can test specifically for covid antibodies, it’s just not something the off the shelf tests do reliably. The Spanish survey used Elisa based laboratory confirmation of all positives. Very accurate.

The median age of cases is significantly lower now than back in April. Florida is 39 when it was 65 earlier. I’m not sure the mortality is that much different, though. Most people who go into the ICU are still not surviving. my friend told me that nobody who has been put on a ventilator in his hospital has recovered.

The people who are at risk of death are still locked away from everybody. Almost all of the other people are wearing masks and sanitizing. I don't think we will be getting way worse and we won't be getting better. Just truckin along like we currently are.
When the Flu, Cold, Covid & Pneumonia season comes, the cold wet weather season, the survivability of any virus outside the human hosts will considerably increase, and susceptibility to infection will increase,m along with other respiratory infections. all this will increase the R0 beyond that which is achieved now with current measures.
So, either we step up those measures when the season gets wet, cold and coughy or the virus will gain on us.

DC has managed to keep new infections from getting out of control and antibody testing showed a few weeks ago that only 6% of residents have had the virus. There is very high mask compliance and no bars and mostly outdoor dining. States like NJ and New York have essentially shut down community spread with science based decisions and a population that takes the risks seriously. Other states that made decisions based on magical thinking have predictably not fared as well.
How's Wisconsin doing. I just was at an amusement park where masks were suggested. Which meant literally no one had one. Also the pool was the same. Bars and restaurants have a little letter from the Governor displayed. But also almost every police department in the state said they wouldn't enforce so also no masks in bars and restaurants.
In the city people figured the loophole for masks at bars is to just always hold your drink by your mouth and that's only at places that are trying to look vigilant.

I'm sure covid will spare Wisconsin, and it won't simply be a slower version (based on pop density) of exactly what has happened everywhere else that has taken the same stance.
We had a few trumpy police chiefs here try to say the same thing, but the board of health threatening big fines and possibly shut downs for places that didn't enforce restrictions, and basic common sense at this point, made it so most people are actually not being dumb while at indoor public places.

They should be proud to sacrifice themselves for the economy and so college students can go to bars.
But they aren't?

Yeah it’s a shame we have such incompetent leadership and a segment of the population who not only don’t give a shit, but actively undermine efforts to get life back to normal. There’s no reason we couldn’t have been like other modern nations, where people acted like adults and got their outbreaks under control.
Well, good thing the young are bearing the brunt of the burden for the old then!

No, I independently traveled the country and interviewed every single American voter myself to tally the records.
