Salvia: What were YOUR trip reports like?
    #26893793 - 08/22/20 03:56 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

I myself have not used this substance yet, but I hear it's quite unique among psychedelics. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but it almost in a way; allows the "I" as the perceiver to temporarily experience different realities? Do forgive me if that notion is bunk.

However, what were your guys's experiences like?

For me salvia trips are always the same, When the trip starts I start to panic and try to get out of the trip or get control over my body/figure out where my body is. I don't remember seeing any visuals but a feeling of being forced and contorted and things repeating its very uncomfortable. after the trip I always tell my self i will never do salvia again but when I forget the disorientating feeling I eventually do it again to try to remember more of the trip. Salvia reminds me of being forcefully awoken by parents while in a deep sleep for school when I was a child.

I see, how remarkable. So in regards to the overall psychedelic experience would you say it somewhat takes you out of it? As in, being closer to the 'base reality?'

I could definitely see how that could be the case but I don't think I'm one to try to make sense out of salvia or figure out what the salvia experience is, its simply to chaotic, confusing and bizarre to make any conclusions. Ive heard many people who can somewhat enjoy salvia or maybe have a strong constitution so I imagine those people would be able to have more insight since they would be able to pay more attention to whats actually happening.

I believe the entire psychedelic experience to be different aspects of the same phenom.

I think your idea is the most likely to some degree but I'm not sure if all the psychedelics can be grouped together in terms of their affect but i guess that depends on what you consider a psychedelic experience. Some may just be illusions/tricks of the mind while others could be more profound in their meaning/affect. I imagine if this were true then the difference between the two would be synthetic and natural, but with that being said I don't see any reason why one naturally occurring chemical couldn't be illusions and another is more spiritual in nature and same could be said with synthetic chemicals, I'm not sure if are any constants. Another idea may be that some could allow you to perceive different realities apart from ours rather then just alternate perspectives of our reality but thats a leap.

Hi, I haven't done Salvia in a long time but I can remember my trips very vividly.

You are right the trip is quite unique. It is a very interesting experience and at the same time bizzare and chaotic as mentioned above. I feel that I haven't learned much from the experience, so in my eyes it's not a good tool for self exploration like for example mushrooms are. Maybe it's different when chewing the leaves. I always smoked it.

All my Salvia experiences have been similar in a way but also unique in some aspects. Every time I did it, it felt as if someone/something opened an invisible curtain to a dimension that's always there 'behind' our normal everyday reality. Also I felt gravitational pulling as if the earth's magnetic field was out of order somehow. It's interesting that you can observe yourself loosing the ability to talk. Sometimes I tried to tell friends about what I feel but it was just impossible to formulate a word and all that came out of my mouth was gibberish. Trying to talk on Salvia always ended up in uncontrollable laughter for me. Those moments were hilarious.

The most memorable moments on Salvia was hearing a woman's voice during my second experience saying "so hear you are again". She sounded friendly to me. On another trip I could swear I wasn't alone in the room anymore and that invisible beings started to rearrange the furniture in my flat. However I couldn't actually see that happening but in my mind I was sure 'they' are busy doing it. It's very difficult to put it in words.

Oh and once I turned into a chair myself.

It's a wild ride and it's not a party drug. It wasn't anything I would call recreational or to be messed with.

Salvia can show you that there’s more out there than you can see.
