Ok so here’s the contaminated 5lb grow I buried outside.  I have more mush growing here than any of my indoor grows.  Can I move this to a more secure area.

I’m thinking I should move all my grows to outside now.

I’ve used them as early as 5 days with great results.

They get contaminated very easily though, make sure it’s not cloudy before you use it.

The one on the left is bad, the one on the right was good.

Sometimes even clear ones are contaminated though.

Hi, this is how my liquid culture looks like

Secure from what exactly?

What's your all's opinion on me using some verm that's been sitting in my garage for about 8 months to help adjust my coir to field capacity?

Normally, I view verm and coir the same when it comes to being pretty dang contam resistant and it wouldn't be a problem. But, since I've come back I've noticed there are some cultivators that believe verm can be a source for contams

I use old verm as long as its dry. If it's wet you might want to bake it. I think caps just meant too many people aren't looking at everything. I personally only worry about high nute subs and casings when it comes to heat treatment

Yeah it's always stays nice and dry in there. And that makes sense. I just remember some discussion on it but couldn't quite remember what came of it. I'm gonna try it just to see. I'd rather not drop $$$ on a new bag if it's not needed.

Bad surface conditions. Build a properly dialed in monotub. Best myco-choice I've made inbetween starting agar and when i eventually get a flowhood. It'll change your view of surface conditions emmensly also read through Comebackkid's. Surface conditions

Surface conditions are poor is the main reason people can’t get canopies. Dirty spawn won’t help either. A little luck when doing ms is a must as well.

I don't wish anything. You asked what was wrong with your tub, the poor quality of your picture makes it terribly difficult to tell what that spot was  that's why I asked a question as apposed to making a statement.

Take better pics, it looks like you haven't built a proper tub, Looks dry. Cultivate a better attitude while you're busy making that tub:thumbup:

If i was asking about my results i wouldn't post a pic of a partially harvested tub. I assumed. My bad.

So I was getting pretty bummed that I wasn't seeing purty looking growth in my first pastey-plates attempt, and had assumed that I messed it up and somewhat given up. Came back the other day to find one of them pinning!

With a newfound vigor, I whipped up a fresh batch of eight pasteys and did transfers from my original plates into them.

Is there any reason to keep the plates I transferred from? And will the fact that I waited so long (one month exactly) before I made transfers have any debilitating effects?

Ove brought back cultures i let sit for a year. People clone dried fruits that have been in a drawer that long. They'll be fine
