Would you use this mycelium for a project? LC attacked by ants.

Hello, long time no post.
Hope everyone is doing great.

Doing my work process I like to start with liquid cultures and then transfer to agar.
I have personally found more success and faster development. But that's for a different topic.

I changed workspace recently and one of my main LC got attacked by ants. All I could really do is seal the LC (they got in through a needle hole) I decided to keep the LC just to observe what would happen.
The LC had stopped growing prior to this. Or it was slow. Now there is mycelium growing around the ants and from the ants.

I'm thinking about transferring from this to start a grow.
Would you guys use it or is this a waste if time? lol

Albino Ant Penis Envy. I would call it. Lol

Fuck that lol. If your needle hole is big enough for hoards of ants to enter, you have bigger issues. Transfer to agar then clean then back to lc if you don't want to start again.

Dude I don't know how, but ants can get into anything. I've had sealed (unopened) jars of honey that sat in a cupboard for like 6 months and ants got to it before I could.

That's an easy one. It wasn't actually sealed.

Lol just saying. Bands were tight 🤷‍♂️. Could certainly have been faulty seals.

Im not sure "could have been" is the way to approach this issue. I mean unless you believe the ants acquired teleportation technology. In which case I think they would also be smart enough to teleport the honey TO THEM rather than the other way 'round.
