My cake's final hope.. slightly contaminated BRF to LC to save?

It's been a rough journey, boys. And alas, at the very end of it my final standing BRF cake apparently contaminates at 95% colonization. I only see the slightest bit of green in a patch that isn't yet colonized. Would it be wise to cut off a clean piece off and transfer it to LC? I don't have any more spores and getting more would be a pain in my ass because I don't live in the US.
I know this could probably sounds ridiculous but LC is mad easy to make. Is it a certain failure, or is there any hope of honoring my last cake

That actually may not be a bad idea. Take it to LC and then at the first sign of mycelium transfer to multiple plates of agar so you can clean your specimen. After a couple of transfers you should be able to achieve have a clean plate and you can transfer to grain or even back to LC.

That's a horrible idea.
Do you guys know what lc stands for/is used for?
Just put the questionable myc to agar so you can clean it. The idea of taking something moldy and putting to lc to 'save' it would be like putting a bullet in your brain to prevent death.

My bad. Thought it'd be a cool experiment or maybe even try both ways.
