Takes a weasel to know a weasel so if you’re still unclear just keep studying

Today or tomorrow would be best doesnt take long for them to mature.

Found about 30 grassy boys today at one my dekalb spots. Half mature half youngsters. Freaked out when I noticed a cop posted in lot and looked to br pulling out his spot as I was leaving. Tossed few I had picked out window. Just being paranoid ik but better safe than sorry. Anyways the weilii are out!

Already hit my upload limit :/ Here's a few from this morning

Found a few nice sized ones where the stipes were growing basically parallel to the ground with caps still facing upward. Idk if they'd been stepped on or are doing everything in their power to stay of of the sun. Would've never noticed them until I stooped down to check out the few visible from up top.

Here's another I found this morning in a different spot. Rewarded for scouting the tree line. In all these areas that have been brought up many times that are said to likely to support weilii (drainage ditches, sewer trails, tree lines, new neighborhood lawns) you won't find them there all the time obviously but if you keep at it you'll find them eventually. I pinky promise.

Looking for some advice and insight!
I just walked 4 miles, 2 in 2 out, on this sewer line trail for a ~8 year old subdivision in cherokee.

Found absolutely nothing but a lot of the terrain fits the bill... are these things even worth checking in the future?
I was thorough on this. I mean Im completely drenched, muddy, scratched up, and probably got poison ivy hahaha
I am confident had there been anything here I would have found it. Should I ever check this place again? Feeling more lost than ever
thanks for any info and all the help!

They could def be there. Some of my spots haven't been fruiting recently including my sewer trail patches. Though of course they may not be. There's no guarantees with these guys. I've checked a number of trails that looked identical to the one I find them on with no luck.
Also while pine/sweetgum aren't 100% necessary, I think your chances would be higher.
