Strange stem behaviour

I had four 6qts going. Three came up ok (other than mostly growing on the sides, even at that some were monsters) with long, full stems.
The fourth took a little longer to pop up. Their stems were much shorter let's say 1/4 of the size for most but not all.
The bigger concerns was that the stems looked ok / normal until cut, then I could see and feel a very dense, super tough stem inside after a bit of outside layer almost like they had a 'core'. It was maybe a 1/8" of soft normal stem, then 1/2" of tough core center.
What would cause this and would it have impact on effectiveness (if it can be consumed at all)?

what variety?? what environmental conditions? what substrate? pictures??
other info such as listed above will greatly help. im assuming its just a cube but there are a few that are known to have denser stipes than others. plus genetic mutations are also common and environmental conditions can also play a role in such things so more info would be a better way to show exactly what you mean. but most of the time its just pure genetics
and as long as its not crazy contamination should be fine but im not sayin to eat it til ive seen pics

Ecuador cubes 70-74 f, 50% humidity in room, good condensation in tubs, mist and fan Coco and coffee grounds
I've grown these before and they all came up the same.
Same deal this time but it was just strange that 3/4 tubs were all uniform, but the fourth these appeared to be pretty similar with the exception of being smaller with the weird inner stems. The fruit could have been slightly lighter in color as well but maybe I'm making that up. Can contamination be identified but having funky inner stems?
I'll work on the pictures.

See the 2nd image for the thick dense centers in the one tub vs how they turned out from the other 3 tubs
The bottom image shows something off topic but the lid was left open about an inch so the fruit right there dried and cracked the cap. I thought it looked funky!

They look ok, probably just weird random genetics unless there was something different going on for the one tub.
Way better to have solid core stems then hollow imo anyway lol.

ya look fine to me u should see how thick and dense penis envy gets. hell u could prolly throw them at someone if u ran out of rocksπππ another thing with cubes is its pretty common to get bigger denser fruits during subsequent flushes as to where the first flush or so is usually more or so average sized fruits just more of them. but like said already above they look fine to me and id chalk it up to being genetics so eat them up and enjoy ππ

It may be hard to tell from the 2nd pic but they are really hard in the center while the other bins came out with soft same consistency throughout as seen in pic 3

And it looks like I replied without seeing the flurry of responses, that'll teach me to refresh the page. Thanks, I'll give them a go, and if subsequent flushes get bigger oh boy am I in for a treat!
