Anyone have experience with psilocybe mexicana?

I've read one experience with this type of shrooms here. They seem to have a subtle difference than the psilocybe cubensis a.k.a. golden teachers if I'm correct about that?

I guess it's not surprisiig. I don't even think most people know whar type of Shrooms they are consuming half the time on here.
(Another person stated that in a different thread.)

Right?
Anyway, most know the difference between the different species of Psilocybe vs the different varieties of Ps. Cubensis.
Why are you interested in Ps. Mexicana specifically? I was because of the historical aspect. I believe it is this species which Wasson had and was the original "magic mushroom" that came into knowledge in the West.
As far as differences in trips between species, that is discussed often here.
I've never had Ps. Mexicana, although I did attempt to cultivate it once. I was after philosopher's stones, and read that sclerotia would be produced. Unfortunately that experiment was cut short.
Anyway, most of the focus seems to be on other species, don't know why Mexicana doesn't get more attention.

Yeah, that's the species Wasson took and brought home to the US.
Hofmann cultivated them in a lab and was the first who managed to isolate and identify psilocybin/psilocin as the main active ingredient(s).

You think peeps who have grown Mexicana want to answer your question when you're whitewashing the community as ignorant? A lot of the more exotic growers don't come on this side every day you know, so unless they saw your question on the first day you posted it it would have been off the first page.
Or you can just blame me if you like man, if it makes you feel better. Maybe get all huffy, that works too, but not on people who don't know you.

Why not just only inform me of this info "A lot of the more exotic growers don't come on this side every day" I assume side means this area of the forum? I'm confused by everything in your post... especialy you're statement saying "you're whitewashing the community as ignorant"
I never ever said that?
To answer to another persons question I was only asking about this type of shrooms as I got them and was just curious.
I hope this post makes sense.

Half the people here probably don't know what their eating man, and people like me making posts agreeing with you doesn't help anyone. Right?
You'll pick up soon what's happening.
Good luck on your hunt. Don't forget to use the search engine in the top right up there. It's pretty powerful on this site.

I did put the name of shroom species in the search engine. The only thread about it I found was basically asking the same question I am.

Well, Ps Mexicana is a species, I believe, not a strain, and can be similar to other stone producer species, from what I've learned here.
Are you asking about ingesting sclerotia or fruit bodies? ...
There is a ton of info here on both, along with similar species like Ps Tampanensis etc. Here, check out this 400 page thread:
https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/22527453/fpart/431/vc/1#22527453
Wealth of knowledge there, including trip mentions.
Good luck!

Would posting a picture of the dried shrooms help...
I just typed a ton of info in this post. It got lost due to the page refreshing or something else happened no idea it's annoying though as it's not the first time this has happened.

So a picture wouldn't help me at all?
Especially regarding if it's Ps Mexicana vs. Cubensis? BTW no I didn't buy it off the internet?

A picture would help indeed. To clarify if it's P.cubensis or P.mexicana.
Or look here. Main difference is the overall size and more important the thickness of the stem. Cubensis can get pretty fat, mexicana always has very tiny stems.
Dry cubensis: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/1/1c/DriedPcubensis2.jpg/1280px-DriedPcubensis2.jpg
Dry P.mexicana should look quite sililar to libery caps: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/0f/Semilanceata.jpg

They are definitely not P.Cubensis A.K.A. Golden Teachers looking at my batch of each that I have side by side.
They look a lot like the Ps Mexicana in your picture specifically skinny stems.
I will upload a picture of what I got soon as possible.
