I used to make the fried chicken at Hardees in Johnson City, TN back in the early 90's.

Yeah that was the same time frame. Before the "Thickburger".

About ten years ago I worked there as a regular cook, which is when I discovered putting swiss cheese and tomato on the sausage biscuit.

It shows up on the cooks monitor as "sw.cheese". Small American cheese is "sm.cheese". I always have to ask them to tell the cook that or they get it wrong about half the time.

I've been a night owl since I was a kid. I also worked the bar and rest biz for 35 years and kept those hours. I am a day person now but I had to train my self to do ti. I still can stay up on my days off very easily (weekends), but when Sunday comes I have to force my self to go bed before 10 because I have to get up at 5:45am all week.

I just started working day shift recently after previous working the graveyard 7 pm to 7 am for 3 years. At some point in the last 6 months of that time My body just decided it was completely done with working night shift and I couldn't sleep anymore.

Could definitely have something to do with getting to the point of drinking like 15 drinks a night due to using alcohol as a sleep aid. Nevertheless, it became miserable. I never realized how social of a person I was until I couldn't sleep at night and would just lie there for hours.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working day shift for the last 2 months. I just can't figure out how to will myself to sleep... Ever since my wife and I had a huge marriage issue, I feel like I have started over thinking sleeping to the point of psyching myself out of sleep(i guess, because I seriously have no other reason for not being able to sleep well).

This getting 4 to 5 hours of sleep is getting super old, as someone who used to get 8 to 9 minimum.
