Panaeolus cinctulus ore Psilocybe cyanescens ???

Bought a syringe from a well-known sponsor and it wa intended to be Psilocybe cyanescens And i wasnt expecting any fruits till october then these came up.... i dint Sterilize the alder wood chips so I’m thinking it’s possible I got two different species growing in the same Alderwood sawdust

Looks like cultivated ps cyanescens to me. They may have popped early do to anything from a weird temp deviation to contamination in your substrate or spawn.

Psilocybe cyanescens, they are more for advanced growers but you did manage to get fruits, make spore prints and keep trying.

cool man. ya i had ps subbs fruit mid summer and didnt even have alot of colonized material. not sure of climate in aussie so maybe sub 10c was good enough...

Definitely Psilocybe but I am not completely sure it's Psilocybe cyanescens. Microscopy would be interesting, or if you have $20 on it, send it to http://alvalab.es for ITS sequencing.

That sounds great id really like to do that, any instructions on how to go about things correctly Like proper harvesting what types of material need to be sent and stuff like that

99.99, weren't you growing a bunch of "ATL #7"? I've never seen them in the flesh but that stipe looks pretty tamp like.

ALT#7 wont grow in alder woodchips Mushroom gills are totally differnt and the size of the mushrom cap is about 2 inches Not even the very best tubs I have grown have the caps been over half an inch
