Can anyone please help. I have a thread started Currently and apologize in advance for posting these here if I'm not supposed to I'm pretty new to the thread guys plz go easy on me 😱 I have many jars going and a few brf cakes working on second flush. I'm trying to do my first bulk, currently waiting on last couple things from Amazon to dial in my greenhouse and get proper spawn going, in the meantime I have 3 jars (pint size) of brf that is 98% covered easily, only a dime size left on the very bottom that isn't colonized, So here's the concern guys, pins in all three hats have grown to 5 inches in some spots, not to worried at first trying to do it right and get that solid 100% colonization, but these very very long pins, or shinny mushrooms growing in the hard are now getting a green tint, they are about 2.5 weeks old since I noticed the pins, are they beginning to rot?? Am I better off birthing, Dunkin, and shredding them for bulk right now as these "pins" are now super long shinny mushrooms and I think possibly beginning to go bad, roll the dice and hope I get no contamination from that tiny uncolonized spot? Should I wait the last couple days (at the rate mycelium is growing id assume 1-2 days max to get 2 100% just really concerned of these mushys growing so big and for so long internally. Please help I appreciate in advance as well, If u need anymore info or more pics let me know 👍👍🙏🙏🙏🙏

Come on man you already started a thread, and general cult would be the place for it anyway.
It’s the most basic of shit just go read some stuff.

Well I rolled the dice... I thought with all those pins with the dehydrated deformed caps it was going to turn into a slimy bacterial mess. But... instead of mowing them all down I waited it out and some matured on the edges and it looks like a second flush is pushing up through all the aborts. Did a partial harvest of the first flush survivors. So not a total loss! And man oh man the bluing with these guys is insane!

Nice man that definitely could’ve gone much worse.
Some of those clusters in the back look like they’ve got a black and white filter on them or something.

Happy for you psilo. Seems like once you get past a certain point there's no chance of these contaminating. They'll just keep pumping fruits until all the nutes are exhausted. Hopefully that's the case with yours.
I have a mono at 13 days now but its been showing metabolites. If it doesn't fruit well I'll have to take a break for a while to work on other projects.

It seems they start out kind of light tan, then get sort of white, then turn a kind of grey blue.

So I heard back from the vendor with 2 natalensis prints.
Total garbage. The guy linked me to the google search results page for “natalensis” and Wikipedia.
And another google search results for “pan cyan natal” which has zero matches.
Somehow they managed to respond on a level waaaay worse than my already extremely low expectations.
My initial email was something along the lines of “I see you have two prints called natalensis, are these different species or is one a substrain of the other or something like that? I’d appreciate any info on these you have.”
What’s weirdest to me is they apparently think it has some relation to pans.

That's a bit unsettling. I got all three of their 'Natal branded' syringes. I really hope the pan cyan is really pan cyan. Lol. Maybe I should have got the cambos... If the NSS and Natalensis end up being the same, I'm OK with that. Definitely my favorite to grow at the moment.

Wait do they have a third one in the pan section???
These are great regardless, you won’t regret buying them. Same with all pans.
There’s very little information on natalensis so I wasn’t expecting much.

I cloned one of the meatier fruits from a previous shoebox. Here's how its shaping up so far:

I don't wanna jinx anything, but man, I hope this will finally put an end to my green streak. I haven't had a single flush without mold popping up in over two months. Almost threw in the towel.

That thing looks great. I think you’re in the clear!
No myc climbing the walls even. Has anybody else that uses liners had the myc eat through it?

I was under the impression this was a place to share knowledge, as I was in a pinch I tried another thread in an attempt to get a solid answer from an experienced mycologist before I had to leave for work. As specially stated I'm Grand new to this site and admittedly I'm not seasoned in the ins and outs a simple explanation of you're not allowed to ask a question in more than one thread would have sufficed just fine and don't worry my friend I won't bother you with more questions I figured it out happy growing to you 🤜🤛👍

Decided to let it ride to see if the second flush smells like cheese in the dehydrator too.
Looks like I’m the only one that’s had these things smell like toe cheese after going in the dehydrator?
If that’s the case I think I’ll be tossing them. I don’t think I could enjoy tripping on them knowing what they smelled like in the dehydrator. Shame too cause I had to put something on the back burner to get these going.

If you're concerned about sketchy fruit just make tea. Boil dry fruit for 20 minutes and reduce. Ive never been sick off tea.

Yeah man that’s a lot to toss cuz it smelled funky. I’ll pay attention next time and see if I notice anything.
I’m starting to think too much spawn could be the biggest problem, kinda like how PE and rw blob out the first flush if you use a lot and don’t let it consolidate.
This ones spawned 6/23 so almost exactly two months and it’s just now pinning decently. I’ve pulled probably 8-10g dry from it plus there’s a ton of overlay.

That plus my half spawn tub growing more normal is enough to make me run more low spawn grows with new genetics.

Natalensis is all over the place. My early grows just screamed so fast there was no chance of contamination. Decent yields and 5-6 flushes. Then I've had some that look great but blob so bad and never produce a single fruit. My current grows trail a week behind or more behind my cube grows without fruits. I want to keep going here but the inconsistency is pulling me away. Someone figure these out.
