Want to check if this looks correct before making new plates and starting from scratch with a pin.
I used what looked to be healthy myc from the outer edges of individual sectors for each plate. All of my plates look the same.

Pasty Plates. The outer rim is deeper than the center so the agar is shallow in the center.

Your agar is contaminated, with mycelium

Is it cube mycelium though?
I have had enough issues making the jump to agar and wbs that have begun to doubt if I can even identify the correct growth.

You used less than 2% nutrition right? Because the mycelium seems to be reaching for nutes.

I followed the measurements in the Pastywhyte Easy Agar tek. Now that I think about it, I may have done a little more than a drop or two of honey. Shit, now that I am rereading the tek it only calls for 1 drop of honey. I know I did at least 2 drops.

Looks like the culture is eating food coloring in the center but ya it does look like the red makes a perfect ring due to the depth of the wells.
Crazy looking culture though. Me thinks somethings up, maybe a reaction to bacteria. I'd sacrifice one or two to do an agar hot pour, maybe 1/4" thick, to transfer from

Ok, so new plates with more agar in them. Should I take a wedge from the tips of the "veins" or from sections between the larger "veins".
