Hey still have a green mold problem. I am thinking its because used the spawn to early it was not fully colonized i just wiped off the outside popcorn kernals that was not yet colnized. Is it possible not having every kernal covered causes higher risk of infection?
Also think it could be from to much water. using coco coir bodsbucket tech. its my understanding that its maintenance free? still mist the surface to keep beeds of water on the top maybe that is to much for this tech and that is contributing to the contamination?

yes spawning uncolonized grains will cause contamination issues pretty easily. next time be more patient and let is colonize. and if its not colonizing, theres a reason for that (contaminate).

good genetics and a little experience
I personally almost exclusively grow Stropharia & Texas Orange Cap. in my experience, they both reliably can produce full canopies from MS without having to clone. but also having proper conditions and clean spawn are important as well.

If you clone from clusters of fruits, it will encourage thicker canopies yes.

You use agar to make sure there is no contamination. Taking shortcuts or trying to hurry a process means you start over and have to wait that much longer for fruit
You can clone to an LC also but contamination may be harder to see
