Shit, I deleted my post because I saw you say you have the muscle of an average female and I was giving advice for a male. Then Ill stick with what I said, start lifting weights then, it's going to be much better for you in the long run than just being sedentary and hoping to get your ideal body just by following eating patterns. And like I said guys who have some extra fat (not too much) can benefit from weight training. All that extra fat is just another fuel source. Not to mention, most fat people have bad posture, and bad posture makes you look worse even if you're not overweight. It can even make you look more overweight than you are. Lifting weights can also help with that too.

Muscles are not secondary to weight loss. More muscle means more calories being burned at rest. More calories being burned at rest is the best way to lose and keep off weight long term

If you have to work up muscle then do more movements than curls. There are so many different ways to exercise with dumbbells, and if you truly need to work up to things then you want to work on more than arguably the least important muscle in the area. For real people get hung up on biceps because they look immediately impressive but delts, traps, triceps, forearms.. all more useful than bicep. Lift them over your head, try dropping it to the side and lifting slowly to the front, put your foot up and let it hang and yank on it like you're working a pull-start, lay down on your back with your arm straight and bring it in to the middle. Get creative and work on all the muscles, it is easily achievable with dumbbells and resistance training.Quote:

Why do that to yourself? 130lbs? Is that really for you? It won't make you feel better. You'll just get yourself in an unrealistic situation where you either make yourself miserable or make it impossible to meet your own expectations. You need more reasonable health goals. And buddy, one of the best ways to gain muscle is to already have fat stores to convert. Meaning getting your scrawniest so you can achieve a fitness goal is counterproductive. If you want real results that matter then the blood, sweat, and tears of commiting yourself to a fitness lifestyle is the only long-term solution. All you're doing with all these diet ideas is dancing around the hard part. Just suck it up and bust your ass until busting your ass makes you feel like it gives you purpose. If you don't know what I mean then you're not there yet.

Missed this post. But it goes back to what I said, Morrow too. You can gain muscle and lose fat at the same time. It's a myth that you can't. But it does get harder as you advance more. But people who are overweight and fresh to lifting weights recomp all the time. I'm telling you, a few sets of some sprints a few times a week, and weightlifting is going to make you look and feel so much better than just changing your diet.
Also there is absolutely no need to do a 40:8 fasting schedule. Cut it in half, do a 20:4 that's plenty if you insist on fasting.

I eat well over 4000 and stay cut without doing any intentional cardio at all muscle. burns. More. calories. at. rest.

Stop buying junk food and use the money you were spending on junk food on fruits and veggies instead. Frozen can last longer; they're not that expensive especially if you buy responsibly and don't let them go to waste.
Don't eat only eggs and meat, there's no way that's healthy for you even if you do lose weight.

It has more to do with the egg itself, and how it's prepared. Older eggs tend to peel easier.

intentional cardio
yeah, it definitely counts, but that's only 3 days a week, and lots of nurses are still fat.
i lost 80lbs years back and I've kept the fat off for years. only intentional exercise I do is lifting weights about 7 hours a week. I even took a 4.5 month break from weight lifting from march to july and didn't put the weight back on.
putting on muscle doesn't mean you're gonna be bulky. that's what I used to think, and I didn't want to be bulky. I was wrong. you can be strong/muscular and still be lean/ripped
before

after
by the way, I eat a lot of carbohydrates. I just try to get most of them from plants
