I would be careful supplementing that much potassium. There is a reason most supplements only contain a small amount of it
I should be more clear, im pretty sure there isnt an rda for potassium. Its kinda complicated but some nutrients have an rda which is based on a number called estimated average requirements. That figure doesnt exist for potassium. People use potassium at very differing levels depending on their physical activity. An athlete will need more than a sedentary person
The number for potassium is called an adequate intake value. Basically they just threw out that number on the basis of observational studies about potassium intake and the risk of developing things like hypertension and stroke And the amount of salt typically consumed. I think i got all that right but im out and about rn, ill double check when i get home
My understanding is that you should eat about twice as much potassium as sodium. Sodium is mostly in your bloodstream but potassium is in all your cells. Your kidneys need potassium to regulate blood pressure by excreting sodum via the action of aldosterone. Your heart needs potassium to beat properly. Your muscles need it to relax properly. I wouldn't concern myself about hitting the 4.7grams, but i would tty to keep track of my sodium intake and make sure i am eating a lot more potassium than whatever that amount is
If youre having trouble getting dietary potassium, black beans are an excellent source. Idk why people always bring up bananas. Beans are much richer in potassium. Also have a lot of fiber and a decent amount of iron

Only vegetables I eat plenty of are spinach, gourds, onion and broccoli, and sometimes green beans. Oh and peppers..I think I eat peppers the most. I wonder if I can just take a tablespoon or so of psyllium husk a day to use for my fiber. Otherwise...it just comes from kratom That's probably all insoluble though.

I think its to prevent ulcers, but dissolving the potassium in a good amount of water you wont get an ulcer, if you were to cap the potassium in capsules and take 4700mg worth at once it would burn a hole in your tummy, I know of someone who did that, but I dissolve a teaspoon into about 1L of water and sip on it slowly over the course of a few hours and never had an issue

I know, even black strap molasses has more potassium then bananas, I like cucumbers, they have a good hit of potassium, lots of water, and you can dip them in salt, like an ultimate hydrating electrolyte food when you dip them in salt

So these were my final counts after adding in lunch, dinner, and snacks. When my weight training is factored in i ended up in a several hundred calorie deficit. Despite that, i am not hungry at all. The basal metabolic rate they have for me is too low. When you include sun exposure- i spent about an hour in the pool- i exceeded all of my nutrient goals other than lipids, but I more than make up for that on other days. Very low fat diet, with most coming from monounsaturated and omega3 polyunsaturated fats. And a whopping 64 grams of fiber. More than 75% of my calories came from carbs. However the only processed food i ate today was cereal, whey protein, and almond milk. I suppose some people might count vegetable oils as well

I pulled it out of the Internet. The average extra large egg contains 20mg trans fat.

I have so many protein shakes throughout the week, even the best ones end up tasting like crap to me eventually. You could make some home made almond milk (store bought is way watered down) and add some pb2 if you like peanut butter. A little extra flavor, fat, and protein.

I bet there would be a market for "Human Food" something you plop straight out of the can into the microwave and provides a whole, tasty, nutritionally sound meal, like catfood or dogfood.

Lol probably. I've known some bodybuilders that would actually just make some chicken and vegetables and rice etc and just blend it all up and drink it to make force feeding themselves easier

Yeah force feeding yourself sucks as much as caloric deficit.
Oldtime Japanese Sumo wrestlers had to eat 10 pounds of rice and sweet potato a day to bulk up with fat.
Nobody loves rice THAT much.
They were massive and round.
Now they use western foods to easier get there.
They look flabby and unhealthy.

Calorie deficits are much better for me than force feeding. I quit the whole "bulking/cutting" routine because I hate eating when I'm not hungry. I can at least just take some caffeine in a deficit if I'm hungry or lethargic. Idk how they could keep it in.
Tochinoshin Tsuyoshi doesn't look too bad, he has more of an E. Honda look. Then you got the Czech, Takanoyama Shuntarō who is not even fat, actually in good shape, but got caught using insulin to try to get fat lol.

Those are not traditionally fat sumo wrestlers.
Your BMI must at least be something like 40.
You should be round like a barrel and your geta must clatter like workhorse hooves.

Tochinoshin probably does have a bmi around that. He's just got a lot of muscle underneath. But you can tell he juices more than the others, if they do too. Especially beause he's always got bandaids on his shoulders and ass.
But right, Takanoyama is a great athlete but I didn't know lean sumo wrestling was even allowed.

I thought they only ate chanko soup, and I heard they intermittent fast and only eat twice a day, just really big meals
