Since there'll be some asshat along shortly to comment on how there are no mushroom strains, I'll just hop in and say yes, I've always felt that PE has a rough, unrefined edge to it, while other cubes have differences that are more subtle but definite. I feel like your state of mind is more influential than the strain though, so while there are differences, they're not that huge.

Also,By strains do you mean like ps. galindoi vs ps. Cubensis? Or do you mean "variety" like golden teacher vs amazonian?

I have been beginning to prefer B+ over golden teachers, personally for my needs.

Wild/Outdoor grown always feel significantly more magical/special to me.
Liberty Caps (Psilocybe semilanceata) especially.

I find high potency shrooms too hostile and harsh
Cubes do the job and are much more gentle

Theres definitely a difference in mushroom strains. My favorites are African Transkei and Mazatepeca.
My favorite species are Cubes (of course), Pan Cyans, and Ps Stunzii (in my avatar)
User psilocybinjunkie has an awesome collection of personal experiences with various Cube strains in his Journal. Check it out

IMO
When it comes to cubensis, a cube is a cube except for Penis Envy. If I'm being completely honest that strain turns me into a reptile, literally stops time, and accompanied with the complete loss of "Feeling one with god" that I always carry with me I have to insist that you be VERY careful with that one.
I was excited to to try the blue thai; however, and for the first time, none of the little guys were able to make it through to see the light. Guess it wasn't meant to be
Golden Teachers are and always will be my HOLY GRAIL. They've has given me what many would call "christ concousness", pulled me out of WD, saved me from seizures/headaches/ and other health issues, and continue to light the path for me that I've only begun to walk.

Albino penis envy were very strong but nothing compared to the variety of PE mutants I had on my hands!
Mmmm one day I hope to try the African transkei. A lazy me wants to ask how easy they are to let them do their thing compared to cube?
