Wow! They both seem all right to me too...each with some things i like and dislike...One thing is certain...whoever is in the white house come 2005, i will probably stick up for him in arguments and such....I think alot of young people take a way too cynical look at things just for the sake of being cynical and rebellious....

Not voting is about one of the dumbest things you can possibly do. I'm not trying to encourage you to vote because I think you'll support my guy, but not participating in the democratic process is what leads to crap like evangelical christians taking over the whitehouse, the legislation of morality, and the erosion of civil liberties and freedoms.
You might not like Kerry, but it would take a lot of solid factual arugments to show that he would do worse for the country than the current Chimpanzee in Chief.
Open your eyes, read the facts, look into the issues, be informed, PARTICIPATE.

If you decide you don't like Kerry or Bush, Vote for some one else! They are not the only ones on the ballot!
As for NON-American's voting, Well there were a LOT of dead people that voted for Kennedy, Bush, Gore, and Clinton so why not...

I dont want to pick a fight, but maybe you can show me a law that isnt based on morality? What i mean is all laws are based on morality... isnt immoral to steal? or to drive way to fast and endanger others? Some consider smokin weed imoral, i dont, but it is a law (a stupid law) based on morality. I cant think of any law that isnt based on morality...
Of course im looking at the "letter" of your statement not the "spirit" of it which i assume is legislation based on christian morality. I agree that laws should not be based only on christian morality.

Yep, you got it. I also agree that all laws are based on some sort of morality. There are generally accepted moral guidelines that civilization (as it is currently defined) agrees to across the board so that it may exhist in a peaceful and prosperous manner (ie not stealing, killing, raping, speeding down the road, ect).
It's the push of the wholly evangelical agenda that scares me. In and of itself, christian morality isn't a bad thing. I agree that one should love thy neighbor, not covent thy neighbors wife, yada yada. But I don't want some asshole telling my friends who happen to be gay that they can't share their lives together in the same manner as I do with my wife, just because the "bible says it's a sin." In fact, the core beliefs of the christian faith are a wonderful foundation for the development of modern civilization. It's just when people take this belief too far and start telling others they are "wrong" or come up with literal, deliberate, and SELECTIVE interpretations of their faith that we start to come into problems.
On a side note, people talk a lot of crap about how Kerry and Bush are the "same."
Well...
Do you believe in a woman's right to choose?
Do you believe in the separation of church and state?
Do you believe in fair marketplace economics?
Do you believe in the protection of civil liberties and freedom from unwarranted goverment intrusion into your private civil life?
Do you beleive that we should only sacrifice the lives of our country's young people for the defense of nation?
There are FUNDEMENTAL differences between the two, but politics often muddies the waters so that policies tend to not be far off when it is all said and done. So what do you FUNDEMENTALLY believe in? Not to mention that Senator Kerry's wife is one of the most giving and philanthropic individuals in the country. She donates nearly 75 MILLION dollars a year to various foundations and charities.

we really need to get bush out of the whitehouse. seriously, he is destroying our country and stripping us of our constitutional rights more and more. he is an idiot and doesn't know what the hell he's doing. people give clinton a bad name, but i think clinton was one of the best presidents we had in a long while, he did a lot of positive things for our country....then bush came in and fucked everything up significantly. he is, in a sense, evil...and is in no way capable of running a burger king, let alone our fucking country. kerry isn't anything special, true, but he isn't bush. i know that's not a great reason to vote for someone, but in the situation we're in, it doesn't matter...WE NEED BUSH OUT OF THE WHITEHOUSE!!! he has lied to us on several occassions and tainted the idea of american pride. do your part as an american and get this fucking retard out of office....or trust me, you will regret it...he will continue to destroy all that we have at his expense. he doesn't care about anyone.
honestly, i would like to vote for Ralph Nader but i know he won't win. it's a shame because he could do so much for this country. he is more intelligent than both kerry and bush combined and he actually stands for the people. he has a realistic view on the stance of america. i respect him and his views a lot but i'm still going with kerry. mostly because i know Nader won't win and i want all possible votes to go to kerry to stop the tyranny of bush. at all cost we must remove bush from office, even if it means Nader doesn't get a chance in the polls. but if bush wins again, i can tell you one thing...i'm out! i'm moving to canada and that's that! america's doomed if he wins again. at least in canada i can smoke a joint and not worry about war.
peace
