Firstly sorry for my english. I made spawn with B+ MS agar on oats grains, then I mixed it with CV using the Bucket TEK in a shoebox(on 27/07/20), the ratio was 1:4, I know it's not a problem, but maybe I should have used a lower ratio.
What do you think? cobweb or something?? It's not the mycelium that I'm used to see on my monotubs, and it's been a long time since I spawned it.

Thanks for the comments!

You should have applied a top layer. I won`t say cobweb, but let`s hope the bright white marks aren`t the beginning of trich.

Definetly not trich. Maybe cobweb, but wait couple more days. For now looks like a mycelium.

I think the casing layer is not really important in here.
Thank you all for the comments

Honestly I don't think you have cobweb or trich. Cobweb is pretty rare and you have to mess up pretty badly to get it.
I'm no expert though so I could be wrong
A 1:4 ratio should work fine but I think closer to 1:2 ratio works a bit better. It shouldn't make or break your grow though as long as you're between 1:2 and 1:4
Also in terms of the casing layer, it is unnecessary but certainly helps to reduce side pins if you're just getting used to shoeboxes. I recommend it if you don't have much experience but it won't ruin your grow if you choose not to use one. You can make a pseudo-casing out of coconut coir if you add it on after you mix the spawn & substrate and add a bit more moisture to the casing compared to the substrate.

A top layer of substrate isn't a casing. It helps keep moisture with the nutrients. Cobweb grows like an inch above the substrate. Most of what is called cobweb is aspergillus if i remember correctly.

You're right - I should have been more clear that a pseudo-casing is not actually a casing

When I first started I thought pin mold was cobweb. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone get actual cobweb in the whole time I’ve been here.
I’m a big fan of the coir top layer at spawn. My area is very dry and using a top layer was like a miracle. Now that I know what to look for and how to control my stuff it’s not as important but I still use one every time.
