Boletus ID

Hello once again,

We have been having non stop rain storms here every other day and the boletus are everywhere.  I have picked several which I believe are Porcini (they smell amazing) but I wanted to see what you guys thought.  These were all under trees in the woods.  There were several different varieties of these all around.  Some with Yellow pores, some more red, some with more white tops.

The ones I picked are all very brown with white pores.  The spore print is brown.  They did not bruise or tear blue or any other color other than white insides and brown skin.

I suggest Tylopilus sp. I can't tell which though. You can try nibble a bit to check if it is bitter or not.

Thanks,

I just read up on that genus.  That looks like one of the more tricky ones to fully identify.

The journey continues

That is definitely what those were.  Oh my god the bitterness is brutal.
