Blue ring around growing caps?

I'm noticing something in a shoebox that I'm pretty sure I haven't seen before—there's a blue ring (bruising?) around each cap. I noticed this about a day ago.

My best guess is that it's because these guys were a little hungry for FAE for a minute? Yesterday I had the lid flipped (standard sterilite 6qt, non-latching), and when I came home from being out all day, they looked a bit skinny and fuzzy at the base. I removed the lid in favor of a dubtub last night, skewed it slightly for more FAE. That seemed to improve conditions (stems gettin' chonkier), but the bluing had already occurred by that point.
Was it just an FAE issue? Or is it a humidity thing? Or is this something common that I'd just never noticed before? I was trying to follow ShaperDreaming's SFF Shoebox Tek of "flip the lid, set it, forget it", but it seems like my babies needed a bit more love than that.

I found that the unmodded tubs get a bit dry, but what you have there isn't something I'd be worried about.

My guess is too much moisture on the caps, but i would wait for someone more experienced. It also seems that you have some leucistic genes in there.

I see that on aborts a lot, but those look pretty alive to me.
What kind are these?

Moisture on the caps... hadn't considered that. I misted super-lightly once or twice while this was starting to pin, because it was 80-plus degrees and I was afraid that I wasn't seeing water beads on the myc... maybe that did it. I'm still in the "overly protective shroom parent" stage of my learning
These are from an A+ syringe (from a vendor) that seems to be a mix of the regular and the leucitic. It was a fun surprise, the first time I grew from it!

Uhh... unmodded? This is a shoebox. I'd be stoked to see your "modded" shoebox examples

w h a t!! Do you think you could intentionally recreate that if you tried? p.s. Thanks for your excellent shoebox thread, I owe whatever results from this box to the mass of knowledge I gained from reading those posts.

OP, your tub looks like it was gonna abort early on and pulled through. I only really see those hershey kiss shaped caps with blue rings on aborts

Thanks so much to everyone who weighed in. jcm, thanks for the pics and reassurance. Caps, you're right, I'm guilty, I shouldn't have misted at all! I'm going to fall asleep repeating, "I will not mist the first flush. I will not mist..."
They pulled through to harvest today, but definitely with a bunch of aborts:

Now I know for next time!
