Yesterday (and actually today too) I had an awesome trip involving the Perseids, 4 grams of homegrown Golden Teachers with 150mg of harmala alkaloids I extracted in past from syrian rue seeds in a gel capsule.
I actually wanted to do this days ago when the peak of the meteor shower was in progress but unfortunately weather was all super cloudy and nothing was visible. Weather forecast also showed that it'll get hot in coming days too which will make tripping not so nice since I cannot take heat at all... Anyway yesterday daytime I saw sky is clear, temps are fine too and I thought fuck it, lets trip. I bought some pudding, yoghurt and mineral water for the trip, made some food and ate it and did all the preparations necessary in the apartment like moving away stuff that I could stumble into and whatnot.
It was 10 in the evening when I finished eating and I began to prepare mushroom tea not long after. I measured out 4 grams, crushed them up in a cup and just put boiling water on top and let it simmer while stirring every once in a while. I decided not to use lemon this time since it seems to have always made for a shorter trip with greater discomfort during the come up. I also consumed the harmala capsule around that time, and about 45 minutes later I strained the tea out using a coffee filter and mixed the liquid with sweet orange juice, tossing away the solids. I waited for GF to go to sleep since she isn't really fond of me doing these things, it was about 11:30 when I drank the whole half a liter glass of funstuff, smoked a tiny amount of greens to kill off any nausea and went to have a shower.
I love showers during the comeup, the water feels great and it is very nice to trip while being clean too. It also helps me cool down a bit since I always heat up and get lot of discomfort from that.
At around midnight I was done and began to watch some TV, "How the universe works" was on and holy fuck the graphics are just amazing, cosmic stuff is always getting me in the right mindset and I really really enjoy the visuals combining with the awesome graphics in that show.
The usual discomfort was felt during the coming hour, I was feeling really hot and sometimes even weak and sick but frozen water bottle against my neck brings temporary relief. I also had to take frequent sips of that mineral water since I raisin up quite badly. Since I ate about 2 hours prior the comeup was sort of gentle and didn't hit me very strong. I also ate some ice cream to cool myself down and it tastes absolutely amazing too and reduces the discomfort from overheating that I experience~
Just over 1 hour after midnight I suddenly stopped feeling the discomfort, weakness and overheating, like someone flicked a switch. Prior I was standing up and doing some body exercises to get some motion and maybe that helped. I got really happy at that moment, I felt alive and could take on anything lol, that was the moment I knew this trip will rock
I went to kitchen, ate a vanilla pudding, ate more ice cream and some yoghurt too. While contemplating going outside. It was also roughtly when peak of the trip hit me, I remember telling myself "what a world I am in" as I was super wildly imagining landscapes and all sort of things while eating.
I was also having some level of anxiety about going out as I was essentially thinking I'm going out to die, and I was thinking about what can happen to me and whatnot, while at the same time coming up with excuses not to go and doing things like cleaning my face as I was messy while eating lol. Eventually I had the thought "I'm going out to live !" though in a very reckless mindset, so I needed to calm down a little bit first lol. I looked out the window and it was really nice and calm outside so I got the confidence to actually go out.
I went to bathroom, peed a full bladder, and luckily without any problems which was a refreshing change. Body was working again and I was really happy about that. I spent a while looking in the mirror, getting myself presentable. Unfortunately no cool stuff was happening lol, the really fun bits didn't last more than like half an hour which was sort of a shame but I suppose taking stuff on a full stomach will have that effect and perhaps for the better, otherwise I wouldn't have been coherent and physically stable enough to go outside.
I took a flashlight, camera, little tripod, phone, wallet and keys with me. Also put something warm on because I knew night will be cool and also I can remove stuff if I have to when I begin to feel too hot. Luckily that never became the problem.
The fateful moment arrived, it was just over 2 in the night, and I quitely made my way out the apartment. I didn't even lock the door because everyone sleeps anyway and I thought I'll be out only for a little bit as I expected to get uncomfy...I used flashlight to show me a way in the dark parts in the stairway because the fractals and whatnot were completely filling the field of view and made it impossible to actually see what I was doing even though I normally would be able to navigate with no light.
I reached the front door and stepped out and the cold night air felt so very great. The dim light was amazing, just enough to see stuff but not bright enough to dim out the visual aspects. I looked in the sky and there were a looooot of stars, it was really great !
There's a little bench nearby and I went to sit on that, unfortunately it was under the trees and they blocked half the sky so it wasn't a good spot to see things but I spent 5 mintues there anyway and actually saw a meteor go by ! The motion was actually pretty slow although still brief and was over in 1 second. I hoped to see unraveling fractals as the meteor passed but that didn't happen, maybe if I was at the peak it would have but it was still great. Then I decided to get up and find a better location where I could see all the sky.
I took out my reflector from my pocket, put camera in one hand, flashlight in other and walked toward the main road. I ended up going in the middle of it and saw full sky, and it was pretty. It was actually difficult to watch the stars at this point because the fractals etc. were consuming them, and many disappeared and reappeared too. I took a long exposure photo and it was quite full of stars, many which I couldn't see at all with naked eye.

I got off the road and walked around a little, trying to find a good spot to see the sky while not being super visible. Then I noticed moon was coming above the horizon and it looked so very pretty. I set up the tripod and camera and tried to take a nice photo of it. It was a challenge navigating the camera menus but I ended up getting the right settings down and took some photos. I saw a really nice meteor going by at that point but unfortunately camera just finished the exposure and I missed it, by just a second. It would have been an amazing photo if I had managed to capture it !

Next up I walked between two buildings, out of the lights on the street and actually laid down on the ground in the parking lot and just stared at the sky. I was there good 10+ minutes and I saw a cluster of meteors coming down and it was amazing too. Unfortunately I couldn't capture them, I had camera pointing straight up and I did a few long exposure photos. It would have been nicer if there is some automatic mode that just makes photos without my input. I wished I took a pillow with me at that point because it was getting uncomfy holding my head up... I would have also wanted to be on the grass instead but it was all wet unfortunately...
At that point I decided to look at the time. I took my phone out my pocket, pressed a button but the screen didn't light up. The phone had turned off... so I turned it back on, and the damn thing had been off long enough it forgot the date and time... and what I wanted to see is how much time had passed lol. Not knowing time or date or having anything to look it from I gave up with some frustration...
Then I got up and decided to change location. I also felt the need to pee and I went into the bushes nearby, and did my thing, again without any discomfort though there was some anxiety because I heard cars go by and one time people chatter aswell. It felt really good to have done it, public place no less lol.
I noticed that there was a really bright dot next to the moon, and I really thought it was a UFO since it changed brightness and also moved. Even on camera I could see it wobble around a bit. I had a thought that the UFO is there just to watch me pee in the bushes, look at that tripping and stoned guy rummage around, doing strange things in the night and I burst laughing at the thought. I sort of have fear of aliens and abduction but at that moment I thought it would be cool if it happened lol.
I took a few photos of it and got an apple looking thing on them, and thought it was cool. Then I walked along the sidewalk and saw a bunny ! I had startled it and the poor creature was clearly scared and feared for its life. I tried to take a photo but the creature ran away too quickly...
I walked toward an artificial pond thing where there's some concrete bits where I could lie on in peace, also away from any street lights and whatnot and I then lied down there and kept on looking up and saw a huge amount of stars and also a few meteors fly by. When I was lying down (also during the previous time) I had fun tracking satellites that were passing by, they are fairly faint and often disappear into the visuals but it was fun still lol. I also saw a star appear, maybe it was always there and hidden by the visuals but I didn't notice it before and it was also really bright and it kept on bothering me, but it probably was there always and it just emerged from the visuals, making me think it popped into existence lol.

At that point I started to beat box a little, and holy fuck creative juices were flowing ! I imagined being this awesome drummer in a band and playing a strong and powerful and fairly complicated sequence with lot of toms, cymbals and elaborate stare and bassdrum interaction and it felt amazing. It was a pure inspirational moment, full of emotion and it was especially amazing since I have been in a great creative slump for a long time. I'm going to try to make the stuff into reality at some point too, and create a full track out of it ~
My neck was getting stiff again and I also had to pee. I knew there was an opening in a hill nearby, that probably had something to do with water or sewage and decided I'll go there and pee lol. I found it, and decided to go inside. It was a small room with a door going into a tunnel of all things, also it was full of trash. I walked into it and and explored, then I startled a bat that was quite scared of me, making circles in the tunnel, probably wanting to pass me but was afraid to. I decided to turn around and get back out and leave the poor creature alone. I also saw bunch of moths on the walls and they were very pretty ~
I didn't manage to pee lol. As I was coming out the hole I saw in distance people talking near their running car, with some trees along the way. I don't know if they saw be but if they did it would have been most suspicious to them. I assumed they did see me and made my way back home in fairly quick steps lol. My feet were quite wet as I was treading through fairly long grass but luckily I didn't feel cold or anything.
I got back home, washed my hands etc. and calmed down a bit as I was doing something borderline illegal, or maybe not illegal but certainly very suspicious by the end. I then wrote about my experience to the GF over an IM program (leaving out all the tripping aspect lol). This here is pretty much enhanced version of that hahaha.
I was out for about an hour, which felt much longer actually. I ate a little more, and started to feel quite tired after the adrenaline had worn off and I spent rest of the time in bed, listening music and reading some stuff online. I fell asleep about an hour later, peeing every 10 minutes like it usually happens. The dehydration wasn't bad this time, and I think lack of lemon tek helped, along with harmalas and possibly eating not long before the trip.
Overall I am super happy with that evening, absolutely amazing experience and I have no regrets going out though probable next time I will be less daring lol.
5/5
