hey gang,
from melbourne australia, currently its winter woodlover season for subaeruginosa with half a month left in it. so about a month ago went out picking, dug out and bagged up a small section of psilocybe subaeruginosa of myc to try my attempts at a transfer to.
boiled popcorn for 1hr, strained and dumped water, then boiled for another hr or so, also cleaned out my plastic container with iso, then streamed it for a lil for good measure. filled up my container about 1/4 way with strained popcorn, then cut out some myc that was exposed, yet still touching dirt, then i just placed it on top of the popcorn, the lid on air tight and left it outside in darkness inside a draw where night temps get down to 5c.
so about 3-4 weeks later i come back to it and this is what i get, the big white fluff ball is where i placed it as marked on the container with a x. so a few questions as i have search but still a newb and winter woodlovers are not easy to mess with as far as i can figure.
* colonize * - how long do i wait before i transfer to another container to colonize some more? - what temp should i set my myc bar fridge to continue to colonize? - currently i dont have any water pooling at the bottom, just the droplets seen in the photo, if there is too much water built up is that a problem and how to rectify with out contam? eg paper towel, Humidity Regulators pack used to cure cannabis
* fruiting * - how long do i wait before i fruit in my myc bar fridge? - i think fruiting temps are go to a colder say 8c to initiate then bump up to 12c or so to continue fruiting far as my searching goes correct? - while i'm at it how do i initiate fruiting, is it the air or do i also need lighting? *contam*
- do i just clean some tweezers with iso to remove the contam pictured to the bottom and top right of the picture?
- i choose popcorn so i could remove contam easier due to the myc being on soil yet it all seems pretty clean, anything i should look out for in the picture?
thanks alot would appreciate the help

Hate to be the bad news bear, but that looks like a couple different kinds of mold. FFR, placing the sample on hydrated cardboard covered with pasteurized wood chips (not left soaking wet, but hydrated and drained until you can't squeeze but a few drops out, similar to field capacity coir but a handful of jagged wet chips...) in a tub with a lid not airtight (to avoid mold) is a great way to get some colonization with a sample of woodlover myc growing. To take that sample to grain (with woodlover) would require cleaning it up on agar and introducing it in a still air box. Almost extra work given how well it colonizes cardboard/wood chips. Best of luck next time, man. If you want (there might be some myc in there...) you could bury that outside under some hydrated wood chips and topsoil or native soil mixed on top of hydrated cardboard and see what happens. Never know. Give it a couple weeks then check (and keep moist/don't let it dry out completely). I've seen stranger things.

Yes, this appears to be heavily contaminated.

The solution is never to remove contamination from a batch. The only solution is to toss it and start over with a culture that you've cleaned on agar.
Another time, what you can do it transfer healty myc on a kernal onto a plate of agar, and then clean that up.
You should always be transfering mycelium away from contam, and never contam away from myc.
Good luck!
