Noob question: Is it contamination? Agar on Rye

Hi All!
First time putting agar on spawn in a SAB and I am concerned the fuzziness might not be the myc I am after.
Agar was made about 3 months ago and left in the fridge. Looked like myc on the agar, though didn't see any rhyzo growth, however, after adding to the the jar with rye it has gotten way fuzzier.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like myc to me. Too early to tell for sure that’s not a contaminant, but it looks like the start of what you want.

Defininetly looks like what you wan't. Although your rye looks somewhat over cooked (busted kernals). Unless you have something else in the jar of course.

Thanks everyone for your advice!
Yeah I used the wrong rye from the get go and didnt do a good job draining the water off them. I bought pre crushed grains not whole grains but I just ran with it cause my place is under corona lockdown so its hard to buy things. I didnt realise corn and other grains would have been a better option. Oh well! Learning experience.
Will add more pics later today perhaps

Hello again,
For anyone who might be interested, I've uploaded some additional photos of some grains getting chewed on. Nom nom nom. Also some macro shots.
There are no other signs of contamination, no discoloration or extra moistness, so I am feeling pretty confident!

If it's anything but myc you'll know fast! How can you know agar but not grains? Time to pop some popcorn and watch RR videos.

Well it looks good so far but those crushed kernals could be a problem later on. How where the jar after you PC'd id? Was the rye loose enough to fall apart?
