Pan-Cake grow (with P. Cubensis, not Pans. )

A couple weeks ago, I decided to try a grow closely based on MacMerdin's Pan Cakes. I used Ziploc Twist n' Loc containers, with verm, coir, a bit of manure, a bit of straw, and some hydrated grain. Inoculated with agar chunks shaken up in sterilized water. It's not a monoculture, but should be a fairly limited set of genetics.
In any case, the mycellium ran quickly. 1 in 14 contaminated and was tossed out.
At full colonization, the containers were opened and cased with about a quarter in peat/verm.
In the Pan-Cake tek, that was it. They were cased, and buried up to the rim in perlite in a fruiting chamber. From what I understand, pans require casing.
I was doing the same thing here--burying the Ziploc up to the substrate level, misting and fanning. But they are doing a ton of side pinning.
My question is--should I remove the cake from the ziploc, and fruit it like a PF cake? Or go with this, and top fruit it? Either way is fine--just curious what an expert would do. Thanks!

Put in the FC. You can take it out of the Ziploc, or not. But since it's side pinning I'd just take it out. They look a little wet, get em in to an FC.

Ok. That sounds like a plan. Then just leave the top-casing, and not do the normal Dunk 'n Roll of a PF?
I agree with the wetness--the fruits have some fuzzy feet below the casing level. It should be easy to pop them out of the tapered containers.
They are already in a shotgun chamber with perlite in the bottom.
Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, forget the dunk and roll at this stage. It's fruiting already, just get it in to the FC and let it flush. You've been misting a lot and they're already wet anyway so worry about a dunk maybe on the next flush

Excellent. Thanks for the advice. I'll pop them out of the containers in a bit, give them a bit to dry slightly. They should be well hydrated right now, I don't think skipping the initial dunk should hurt anything.
