My yard is mostly moss due to a ton of tree coverage. I have hundreds of mushrooms in my front yard mostly in wood chips and moss. Any idea?

Have you ever actually seen a picture of Panaeolus cinctulus? Haha
In my opinion I'd say thats closer to something in the amanita rubescens group

I would say it is Amanita rubescens or a similar reddish bruising Amanita

It's all good, but really look at the picture you posted first and then really compare it to the one in the link you sent.
They look nothing alike, but people poison themselves that way because they are seeing what they want to see and not what is in front of them.
The first mushroom is missing one of the biggest characteristics on the cap surface and that is the dark marginal zone on the cap surface that gives it that classic ring on the cap surface. The next big give away is the color of the gills, they would be blackish if it was cinctulus. The big annulus or ring on the stem is another give away, cinctulus doesn't have that.
Don't give up, but please, please don't eat anything unless it has been positively identified by a Trusted identifier.

Youre good man! I honestly wasn't trying to be an asshole....this time lol We all start at square 1 and you don't know what you dont know, right? When you try to identify things based on description like that you've got to pay attention to all the details and not just focus on "well it looks like so therefore it must be". You'll get it, just stick around!
