It's a lot easier to develop skill and just do it right than adding dry oats. Sounds like fail.
You can't make a tek when you're still trying out your own new method

You call it a tek in the title, and an experiment in the post. Im all for experimentation, but there are already proven oat teks that I can do with my eyes closed.
I don't think using a spore syringe to determine the success rate is a good idea. Try dropping a clean wedge into 10 of those jars.

Adding oats then water and PC'ing has actually been around for a bit Caps McGee already made a tek that works with all grains, it's like 2/3 cups grains to 1/3 cup water or something like that https://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Number/26200439/vc/1#26200439

I believe you but no one told me about in another thread, and it’s not the Oat TEK in your signature either.
Anyway, it’s too long. No one can read it. Too many ingredients. No one can remember them.
Sometimes you gotta dig around on the search bar to find stuff that was why I linked it for you was cause it's basically the exact same tek you wrote more just figured you'd be interested in the tek was all sheesh
Well no it's not the oat prep in my signature it's the one I linked in the comment underneath the sentence I wrote
Dude the only ingredients are 2/3rd's cup of grains and 1/3rd cup of water... pretty dang sure most people can remember that

Vylie said: Okay. Can you tell me why do you want it not to work? It will make our lives easier. Is that a problem?
It does work and it's already a very old established recipe. People sometimes call it the "ratio method". You can prep most grains by soaking 2:1 in water then PCing. I learned about it originally in a post from 2001. For consistency it's better to slightly reduce the water than increase grains, ime.
There's no such thing as publishing an unproven TEK. TEK means Technical Educational Knowledge... not The Experiment I'm Currently Working On. A TEK is a TEK only once it's been proven that the results are repeatable. Until you do that and post proof this is not a TEK. Full stop.
Do not disrespect the hard work of our community by calling good science cowardice.
