Bought an Audi A3, 2020 model with 20 miles on the odometer. I'm in the NE US and needed all wheel drive, my previous car was a 2013 cadillac ATS with ATS-V transplant motor and buil transmission. Rear wheel drive, winters where a blast lol. Any one out there with experience with Audi's, what to expect, any tips

Congrats!
I had an Audi years ago. Was a fantastic car, great ride. Got sick of getting kicked in the shins for parts that should have been cheap so I got rid of it. Had to cut my losses. Hopefully they've improved their parts distribution these days.

I hope so, but the caddy was expensive to work on, my friend did all the mechanical due to the modifications, but parts where very expensive. I expect the same here and its budget in the cost of ownership.

Congratulations on getting a new Audi. I only know they're high up on the social scale, and yeah parts will be expensive like the Caddy.
Here's a story to make you feel better when you have to pay for parts. I recently bought a 2015 Chevy Cruze from a dealership. The check engine light came on in two weeks, and after several rounds of diagnostics and the light coming on or off, they decided I need a new turbocharger. The discount the dealer offered me to fix it is still many hundreds over what an independent shop charges.
The car (seriously) has a 1.4 liter engine. All my friends who have Harleys have a bigger engine than that.
Right now it's running OK and the light is off. I'm considering trading it in to another dealer right now. I wouldn't sell it to private party.

Congradulations i see you've made the decernible choice. Theyre great cars and perhaps the best value in its class honestly. Its doesnt come with the prestige of hey look at all the money I spent that something like say a mercedes brings. But some people see that as ostentatious and a stupid waste of money. Theyre the much more frugle option in the long run aswell. Some models are some of the most pleasurable cars you can drive especially if you like them zippy. These things can really screw. Cadillacs are prices of shit.

My old caddy made 600hp/550ft-lbs to the rear wheels... you can call it a piece of shit but it ate up anything under 200k. Most of the work and mods were done by me and a friend, so only parts were paid for.

What made you decide to buy brand new?
I'm a HUGE petrolhead but I could never understand how so many new cars get bought, when one can make a killing buying a year or two old.

So the 20% of cost you lose in that first year is worth it to deflower the virginal ride?

0% interest, plus full length warranty, and I have plans for when warranty expires. Talking with my mechanic buddy its not too expensive to get these models to 400ho/500ft-lb. Dreams of an all wheel drive with that power so nice. Also, when you buy slightly used, you know 1. original beat it like 2 dollar whore and 2. They definitely didn't do a proper engine break in.

I'm with you jsb, I will NEVER buy a brand new car. I just got a 2016 buick AWD lacrosse premium 2 package. I love the ride and the extras are really nice. Nicest/newest car I've ever owned/bought. Plus the repairs will be a LOT cheaper than any audi, caddy, etc...If I had the money I would probably buy a mercedes 500sl, but my motto is if you can't afford to fix it, don't buy it. I liked those lexus sc430's. I just love the hard top vert that folds into the trunk. I like how bmw's look, but they can be expensive to fix. My dream car for fun would be a chevelle 442, olds cutlass 442 or some muscle car like those, but they are just toys and I'd need a garage and money to keep that.
