I grabbed some and tryed it and honestly it was to much hassle.
The circle cut of agar would always stay stuck in the hole punch and I would have to dig it out almost every time,
heating the hole punch sometimes would get to hot to hold.
I went back to a regular scalpel pretty quick
I only use it for the first two transfers of the day than I switch to scalpel because I keep burning myself
it looks nice tho

You got any GE setup for those LCs? I've always wanted to try some LC without GE but haven't gotten around to it.
PS. I love my scalpel. I see absolutely no reason to use anything else

I don't like the idea of using 2 tools to make 1 transfer

I thought it was neat to see another way to make transfers. I probably would have never thought of it, but that's because a scalpel seems to work just fine for me.

I use these for liquid culture biopsy method. 50ml of LC in each of half. No GE holes just a injection rubber plug. Now I put stir plate bars in them and that speeds up the process a lot. I thought I would have a problem with no GE at first but I didn’t

So the legends are true? LC containers don't necessarily need GE filters?
What about for drawing liquid with a syringe? Wont it create a vacuum with out some sort of GE filter? Not to start this whole argument again but... Are you telling me i just ordered 100 syringe filters for no reason?

I use unmodded lids when I intend to pour the LC.

That makes sense. I been pouring lcs to and using ez felt lids. I think the ez felt was getting wet because i was leaving the tin foil on.
I lost 20 jars in a row due to my stupidity.
Syringe filters are useful when drawing with a syringe ?
How do you draw lc when the needle isnt long enough to reach? Just tilt the lc?
Also how do you PC with out a gas exchange filter? wont the jar explode?

Syringe filters are a must for ease of aspiration.
Tilt works
