Accepted the offer and will be running RT-PCR, antigen test, and antibody test for all send outs. what a crazy turn of events... I'm still furloughed from organ donation so I'm accepting this offer because I need to work...

There is no evolutionary pressure for the more lethal strains to disappear until most of the population is immune.
More likely the strain that hit Italy and Spain and then the Northeast was unusually lethal, compared to the virus that came from Asia and predominates on the west coast.
If the virus has mutated it has to physically look different

Well already got a warning for derailing the thread but yes COVID-19 has been a massive investing...
I swing trade stocks and I alerted an old friend who works at Bank of America Corp and trades for them.
I did analysis of Big 5. No brainer buy. (guns, bug out gear, tents, survival gear) obviously gonna turn a profit..

It would make sense that the lethality/severity would trend down because it is never in the best interest of the parasite to decimate the host because then the parasite soon perishes (see Ebola).
Unfortunately, lockdowns really only hurt the lower socioeconomic levels in practice, so the wealthy don't care. They are making hand over fist off this, as was obvious would happen months ago.

Akums razor favors the simplest explanation over the more complex one.
Perhaps the low death rate of covid and high number of people contracting it is on the basis of many more people getting tested then previously was possible months ago and the more immuno compromised portion of population being more aware and isolated then previously hence less people dying.
If you shave off the more complex pieces of explanations like multiple strains and certain ones being more devastated you are left with the explanation I gave you. It is a possibility.
But I am sure I will get shredded if I challenge the idea that many scientists have proposed that multiple strains exist and now the virus is evolving to co exist and not destroy the host which is the viruses ultimate goal to begin with.
Like HIV in a monkey vs HIV in a human? But HIV in a human is still a devastating disease. Are there less HIV deaths over the decades? Absolutely. Attribute that to more awareness and treatment.
But anyway with more cases and less deaths and the percentage rate of victims dying dropping significantly why not try less restrictions in a more educated population? One way or the other deaths are going down. I would think its a good sign. Massive unemployment still reigns.

70% of the population has to become immune to stop the pandemic. That's a proven fact in immunology. What needs to be done is prevent the spread and develop a vaccine or a therapeutic to help people survive.
If you aren't immune compromised and you get pretty sick from it, IV fluids will basically be all you need. In can get pretty serious tho.

Is HIV less deadly because of mutations or other reasons?
I am sure it has mutated quite a bit over time but has it mutated into being less deadly?

HIV hasn't beome more infectious, something that usually happens when a virus becomes less lethal.

What's also proven is that alot of people get covid twice. Also you're not taking into account dramatically high hospital bills and the many damaging effects on the organs even recovered people experience. The answer is not to keep letting people die in hopes that maybe will be immune we know for sure that masks work. Don't Advocate more people dying and we might have a chance.

It’s still up in the air whether or not you can catch it twice. If you can the death toll is going to be way beyond any projections out there.

morrowasted said: Less lethal. People dont seem to be getting as sick from it. This is anecdotal but confirmed by a lot of the medical personnel discussing it online. Many asympyomatic cases even in nursing homes. The hospital still has lots of sick patients but the mortality seems to be dropping even though treatment isnt changing
It makes sense for a virus that mutates that less deadly mutations will become increasingly prevalent over time. Very sick people dont move around much. We suspected this would happen but now it seems to be coming true
Very sick people start off as sick people.

I want someone to explain to me why non covid19 related deaths are being recorded as covid19 deaths if a big part of this isn't about money? Any ideas? can't say it isn't happening because it is, all over the U.S., I'm referring only to the U.S. I don't know what they are doing in other countries but I know for a fact that its happening here in the states.
edit: I meant, if it's not about money AND politics
