Trouble with second flush sometimes
    #26877664 - 08/12/20 10:44 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

So idk, I’ve had trouble with second flushes sometimes for awhile... and no I’m not a one and some person as of yet. Some work our awesome. Say for example, you harvest 50% because only half are done. The sub has zero water droplets on the surface, so I’ll give it a good mist. Sometimes it looks like it’s causing that white stuff, which I assume is mycelium to form all over the some of the pins.

Do most let their entire sub soak for some time? Some of mine actually get smaller, by a good almost too even if I mist it good. I know if coco coir gets too dry, it needs to be dunked in water for awhile. I just need some opinions on this, thanks guys.

Second flushes should be pretty automatic if you made it to the first one with no troubles.  If your sub shrunk quite a bit from the first one, just dunk it for an hour or two or simply try bottom watering with a cup or two of water.

If I bottom watered, then whatever it doesn’t soak up I’ll dump out after like an hour or two?

No, think of bottom watering as 'watering' the myc.  You only give it as much as the myc can use and leave it in there.  That's why you only give it a cup or two- you don't want to have excess water piling up in there, only what the myc is actually going to use for the next flush.  Start on the low end of maybe just a cup and adjust from there to get a feel for how much your myc will take.
