Looking for sound advice π

New to fourm. Fairly new to cultivation.have a couple questions if anyone would like to help out if appreciate it. I have quickly decided brf cakes while very easy are not producing enough even with a few runs going at once so I'd like to do my first bulk in monotub. Here's the question, I have 3 full pint jars with very nice growth, left out and they started 2 pin b4 100% colonization, I want to use these 3 broken up and mixed with a coco/verm/gym bulk in a 32 quart mono... Will the mycelium still be "fresh enough" here in a few days once fully colonized to still use if I pick off pins"already 1/2" long" on thoroughly break up before layering? https://files.shroomery.org/files/20-33/727359836-IMG_20200812_154939827.jpg Any advice is appreciated. Thank you

From my understanding overgrown spawn shouldn't be an issue so long as it is clean and still holds at least some moisture (if mushrooms are growing in vitro there is still plenty of moisture lol)
Honestly don't even pick the pins off if you don't want to - they won't hurt your tub. Hell for all we know they may add more nutrients/moisture

You can spawn it to bulk. I recommend just using 100% coir for that, but to each their own. Give the cakes a good examination prior to shredding though as early pinning could be a sign of contamination of some sort.

I'm glad I joined already getting good advice thank you guys I appreciate it. As day as contamination I've had 1 hat out of about 50, I moved my harass inside just on a shelf to clean my grow tent out in the garage so they got a little drop in temp 5Β° or so as well as natural light I believe this is y there pinning, all the hats show very very good mycelium growth long thick ropes bright white no other color, I believe it's the light and temp that triggered it. Thanks a million I'm going to bulk here in the next couple days I'll post pictures, I posted some of the jars not sure if I did it correctly or if you can see them.
Tell me more about this 100% co co idea please... I have pure order gyp, fine Vern, and three blocks of co co on deck as well as a32quart tub , a p.c. and 3 pints healthy mycelium if I need anything else or any advice on the proper way to do this please tell me. Thanks again

Personally I find coco + verm to be a little more forgiving with evaporation. But in the end it's a preference thing.
I have a sealed copy of "Smell the Glove" with the original uncensored album cover. It's my retirement fund.

All right guys I hope I'm not asking too many questions you or just want to make my first bulk go smoothly.
Can any of you give me a rundown of how you do your bulk other than breaking the 100% colonized mycelium brf cakes (what I have on hand ready to go) using a PC to sterilize a Coco coir verm and possibly 3% or so jip mixture, then layering broken mycelium bulk in multiple layers and snapping a little on the top that's the basic understanding I have I've been reading about casing layers is it necessary and if so how should I go about it? Should I leave it in complete darkness for the 7 to 10 days also I have a medium size inline fan running into my current grow tent should I keep that on for f a e or will that dry it out just want to know how to fine-tune this thing that way I don't waste the good mycelium substrates I could have just fruited for a few flushes... Again any advice would be welcome and much appreciated

Last question I believe I have and I'll post pic. Mycelium is 95 percent covered, it has pulled away from the jar and the "pins" are now over 2 inches long... Again these were intended for bulk.... Is there a point when the pin has grown so substantial that it's no longer growing mycelium as it's putting energy into fruiting? At what point is it too late to bulk? I've turned jars upside down and out them in complete darkness need some guidance here please!!

Photos of extra long pins.... What to do I know it's usually advised never to continue without 100% mycelium...http://files.shroomery.org/files/20-33/735891997-IMG_20200812_154954589.jpg https://files.shroomery.org/files/20-33/735898923-IMG_20200812_154954589.jpg

For the coco coir, you dont sterilize it, you pasteurize it. Check out BOD's bucket tek. You can search those words in the search engine and find out all about it.
As far as your jars, give them light, flip them back upright carefully to not disturb the top layer of verm you should have in there. BRF cakes dont get flipped, shaken, or anything of that manner. They just require time to colonize. The pins will be fine, pluck them off when you birth the cakes. Like i said in previous post, check for contams. Pinning in a jar before full colonization could be from contamination.

The mushrooms are very long inside the point jars now, there is a literal dime sizes spot of pfk cake/verm whatever I should call it at the very bottom of the jar, the rest of the jar is solid bright white and several mushrooms are over 5 inches long now wrapping all the way around the jar nearly and they are behaving to get a green tint to them.... Is this now the pins that have been growing a couple of weeks in the jars beginning to rot? I'm worrying if I leave it longer they will rot please help guys I'll post more
