Totally inaccurate, OP's mushroom is a Boletus and has yellow pores under the cap which bruise blue.

The mushroom you posted has white gills...

I guess it errs but it seemed in this case to want a different angle on the subject life form

Sure, but sanity check what you're posting. Anyone could look at your picture and see drastic differences from the original species, it's not even close.

If you're gonna use an app like that, maybe don't bother responding to ID requests on Shroomery, it's probably more harm than good.

I recommend the National Audubon Society Field Guide to Mushrooms for making ID guesses if you live in North America.
