I have been growing cubes for awhile now and I am going to start Pans soon. Do pans need poo in the substrate to grow?

Awesome, I am reading your write up. Great stuff. Do they produce stones as well?

not the good one cincts do but they are super small. some ppl will get tiny stones on agar but i never have gotten anything sizeable just maybe a nerd sized one or 2 on very rare occasion. you wanna grow pan cyan, pan cambo, pan bisporus or pan tropicalis they are all basicly the same one dry gram is equal to eating 3.5-4 grams of cubes

Everytime I’ve tried to grow the tropicalis strain it will grow these white masses on the casing that will get pretty big if you let them I had one golf ball sized and when you pick of cut them they bruise a dark blue. And it’s not overlay and doesn’t look anything like the mycelium.

Awesome.I live on a tropical island, Its very humid here. Do you think that the bubble stone water chamber will be necessary here? It's always super humid and hot here. I have to run an ac with my cubes, pointing away from them but in the same room. Tropical species probably grow at the same temp as cubes,Iam gonna have to do more reading ☺

u wont have that humidity needed if ur runnin indoors with ac your def gnna need a fc of some sort that is not for growin cubes. these can be very picky mushrooms to grow for instance if u get them wet they will die when pins they are very picky about their environment they require high humidity and a ton of fae and you just cang achieve that in a traditional monotub or something else. if its that good there try outddors

ya wbs is fine as long as ur spawning it to manure and straw or just a manure based sub of some sort but straw is like steroids for pans also dont forget these need a casing to fruit

Love the banana tree idea, lots of good shade and the harvested stalk and chutes can also be used in a bulk substrate for things like oyster and paddy straw mushrooms.
