Help I don't know how to outsmart this! (greasy contaminate or agar plate)

All of my cultures have this greasy looking "film" on the edge, some seem to do fine for a while and Bam! this grease surrounds the myc and my growth slows down. If this grease starts as soon as i make the first transfer it just shuts down the growth.
This is really hard to capture with the camera i hope you can see it on the outer edge of the growth.
what is this called? how is it remedied and would this be a situation where you would want to use antibiotic agar?
Thanks Familiar

I think it’s just the leading edge, what’s your agar recipe?

If you shine a light through the back of the plate, does the ring look like it's made up of super fine strands?

It looks like incredibly weak myc. I have experienced the same thing when going from MS to agar. I had to change my recipe up a little bit and also take more transfers to get it where I wanted.

ok so i was able to capture the worst one it is a t3 and the second transfer looked better and if you notice the myc on the agar from the previous transfer looked good and as soon as it touched the new agar it just peters out.
I'm thinking that there are no nutrients in the plate like i didn't swirl the agar bottle when i poured it. the recipe was 600ml distilled water 12g light malt extract 12g agar agar

Genghis Chron- yes on most of the plates it looks like super find strands like a blend from weak myc to really weak strands
Freeyourmind- how did you change your agar?
jcm4620-i'm pretty sure it looked like ms or t1 myc before it rizos up
This one is a t5 and i like how it has a really sharp edge. is that even normal or can it be a little grease on the leading edge .
I'm making new plates now and i'm going to make sure to swirl and mix between plates this is the same recipe with 1.2g of soy peptone in the 600ml water. oh and im using purified drinking water this time not distilled
