I wouldn't say a lot. My tubs seem to be dialed in pretty spot on, but ya there is usually a bit of water in the bottom when I go to harvest. I'll dump that stuff out before I dunk it.
If you wanted to bottom water you could pull the liner back after it shrinks and pour it between the sub and liner, I guess.

@munchauzen Thanks very much for this easy to follow instruction and video on lining a monotub. I'm very much a n00b at this, having just one grow completed using brf jars. For my second grow, I want to move to monotub and your post will help me. Thanks!

Nice man I love your mix in the bag and use while bag I usually cut mine into pieces. One question tho I saw you covered your grains with coir but left some exposed does that ever cause your problems. Wen I leave any exposed Berry's they usual excrete metabolites from the exposed grains

I don't stress over covering every grain perfectly. As long as its clean, it shouldn't be excreting anything. But the idea is to use the coir as a mulch layer on top to retain moisture and impede evaporation to an ideal rate.

I feel like having a two-digit iq now, with a comma between the numbers I'm just in shoeboxes today and always do a liner. As i always fill them to the rim, and place them 3 in a row in a big tub, mixing up in the box was always a little messy.
It was...
Thank you again for that eye-opener!

Really cool way of doing liners man. Very efficient and easy. That soundtrack made it all the much nicer too

Nope. Iso has no place in spawning to bulk since the process is not meant to be super sanitary. Some say picking your nose and farting your ass off is ok when spawning to bulk.

No more gas exchange needed after spawning

3.5 quarts of prepped grains go into the bags. which is approx the same as 4 mason jars.
ya don't be squirting iso in your liner. they are made thru a industrial process that cooks plastic beads at 200°C into a sheet, so they are pretty sterile already. when you open a trash bag, pretty sure thats the first time actual air has touched the inside of it.
