I have never ever found libs where i've expected to. A big field? Nope. By a kids play park? Yes. By some recycling bins? Yes. By a bus stop? Yes. It's a well known secret where they grow here but most people can't find them, I just got lucky. I would love to find a better patch as last year I only got enough for 2 trips (*stop mowing the grass council!) which I shared with a friend. Here's hoping this year is bountiful, or I may get fed up and start cultivating my own shroomybois.

Spotted this little warrior while mooching about. Probably need a spot of rain. Looking like it's been around a day or two this one.

No photos but found around 10 libs in Perthshire in a few different locations in one glen, altitude 250-300m. This was 2 weekends ago - 2 August - making this the earliest in the three seasons I’ve been looking for them. Happy hunting folks!
