Grain after shake
    #26872799 - 08/10/20 06:58 AM (3 years, 5 months ago)

Hello everyone.
Quick question, I just shook my rye grain jars after g2g from a good looking jar, which recovered well and had no issues or alarming signs. (the master jar was inoculated with agar)

Anyway, my jars broke quickly and easily, BUT there is one jar that had 2/3 grain stuck together... is that an early signs of bacteria or it happens sometimes?

Ime, it depends on how easy it was to break up. Was it just a massive chunk but broke up really easily? Or did it take a mini-workout session to break up the chunk?

It was easy to break the jar.

My jar didn't have big or small chunks, only 3 grain stuck together. They didn't separate but all the rest of the grains seemed perfect.
So I wonder if its also a sign of contamination... again it was only 2 grain attached together, not a chunk.

I know that in couple of days I'll have the answer, but I'm curious if its normal to have 2 grain "glued" together sometimes..
