https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3661470/

There were 2,600 excess deaths due to the 2009 H1N1 outbreak in the US for the entire year. In just one week this past April there were 20,000 excess deaths due to covid. We’re already over 200,000 excess deaths in the first 8 months of 2020.

Covid is orders of magnitude worse than the swine flu.

Maybe.      Maybe not.

60+ million Americans got H1N1 during the 2009-2010 pandemic, and that was never an option.

Americans were so comfortable with that pandemic, Obama and Biden decided to cancel testing.

Based, those Americans were based. What happaned?

I'll tell you what happened.

Obama was one damn good public speaker and still is.

But his public speaking isn't good enough to get Biden Elected.

Look up mortality figures for H1N1, the fact that 1/5 Americans got didn't mean shit.  I'd take that right now over this sars-nCov-2 any day of the fucking week.

You'd take the virus that kills young people, over the virus that kills old people?

What are you, some kind of really old person?

Yeah when is at at 1:100 ratio, also young people have died from covid-19, just not a lot but 1.9% mortality for infants... not good.  Also with covid I currently have 200000 in 360M chance of dying, as opposed to a 2000 in 330M chance of dying, I'll take the one with odds massively stacked in my favor.

Where are you getting 18% for infant mortality?

This is junes cdc data. Do you have something more up to date? All this time the media fear mongers who are just frothing at the mouth for more death have been saying it spares the youth all this time, for months.

I am not trying to get you, I just read what you said, if you are worried about a virus more that kills 90% of its deaths of people over 65, vs a virus that kills most people in their 40's and you are not over 65, then you are being illogical.

And get this, even swine flu isn't a big deal, just as covid isn't really either, I had covid, nothing serious has happened to me, nothing, I climb fucking mountains in my spare time for fun, no tangible real impact on my life at all and you are scared of it? That is stupid

New York City’s latest bloody week of gunfire saw 76 people injured, including 14 murdered — with almost two-and-a-half times more shootings than the same week last year, according to police sources.

As of 7 a.m., the previous week saw 62 separate shootings — a dramatic rise over the 26 during the same week last year, sources said.

https://nypost.com/2020/08/17/cuomo-denounces-surge-of-shootings-across-nyc-and-other-ny-cities/

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday denounced the surge of shootings across New York state, including in the Big Apple, saying more has to be done to beat back the rampant crime wave.

“You cannot dismiss these numbers. You cannot look at this reality and say it doesn’t exist because the reality is so clear,” Cuomo told reporters during a Manhattan press briefing as he pointed to how gun violence is soaring in New York City and other cities in the Empire State.

The governor gave a breakdown showing how shootings are up 60 percent in The Bronx, 102 percent in Brooklyn, 54 percent in Manhattan, 75 percent in Queens and 108 percent in Staten Island, while shootings with victims were up 240 percent in Albany, 66 percent in Buffalo, 54 percent in Rochester and 130 percent in Syracuse.

Year-to-date in the Big Apple, shootings are up 79 percent, Cuomo noted, explaining that recent data shows that more than 90 percent of the victims “are black and brown.”

More people have died of swine flu than covid, millions have died from swine flu lol, but swine flu is way less contagious right now based on official data, covid is 50% LESS deadly than common flu when you compare per capita of infected. Swine flu was 1/10th as deadly as common flu, but still killed millions, fuck we haven;t even hit 1 million yet with covid globally.

Swine flu still kills people to this day, its been killing people for over 10 years.

i've not once seen someone under 50 die from any flu of any kind

granted I wasnt in this field way back then. I'm sure it happens from time to time.

i have seen more than one person under 50 die from covid in the space of 2 months

either way, I do think 2-3 hundred thousand mostly older people dying is worse than a 2-3 thousand mostly younger people dying.

im pretty sure "swine flu" is typically used as the colloquial term for referring to the specific h1n1 flu that circulated a decade ago. i believe it's common for pigs to harbor the flu in general, but we need to be clear about the terms you're using.

He did covid kill 80,000 people in 3 months? Well it is way more infectious than the flu, so if you have any common sense then you would know that covid isn't as deadly as the damn flu lmao

Imagine if you will a world were everyone has access to this information and its totally easily accessible but the tv a news dictates what you think.

Lost years of life is a thing.

When young people die, there are many more lost years of life, considering they die young and never have a chance to make anything of themselves like an old person has be able to produce something.

Also, these lockdown measures, whatever they are called, is costing U.S. more lost years of life due to deaths of despair.

An interesting video featuring Dr. Scott Atlas supporting this claim of lost years of life.

Atlas was recently given a position in the w.h. coronavirus response team.
