Hello all! I have a fairly short and simple question that boils down to should I shake these master grain jars just yet?
This is on day 7 and I believe it looks pretty solid and healthy but wanted to check with the community here first as this is my first ever agar to grain success! These were made using the pastyplates tek.
Here is a pic of the two jars.

Thanks for giving some advice!

If no one responds it’s fine I’ll shake them tomorrow unless someone says otherwise. Thanks for reading!
EDIT: did not mean to bump this. I meant this post to be an edit on the OP. -_- sorry

So scratch that, one of them had the tiniest bit of cobweb on top. I shook it just to see how it goes not expecting anything good from it at all. Waiting on the second jar to colonize more of the grains before shaking it. Thanks anyways!

You sure it was cobweb and not myc? It spreads fast as hell, once it crops up you'll likely see more than a tiny bit.

I shook the one in the first pic so we will see. If it’s cobweb I’m sure I’ll see it in a day or two again. But I’m fairly certain it was cobweb unfortunately. I’ll keep working on my clean work.
If not, then great! 👍 I still have plenty of plates that are still being cleaned up made from the same culture. These were 2nd transfers and were a couple clean plates I had so decided to do my first agar to grain.
I’ve had cobweb in another one before the one I mentioned here so I’m assuming Cobweb.

I would like to know though, would anyone shake the second jar in the OP?
Now that I’m looking at it I think I’ll wait a day or two more unless someone says otherwise.

If it's cobweb you'll likely have confirmation of that well before two days is up. That stuff can easily crush an entire jar in that time.
I'd let the myc grow out a bit more than that before giving it a shake myself.

Ill be waiting a few more days on the jar in the second pic. For some reason I'm not getting any good feelings about these so I'm not expecting either of em to turn out healthy but if they do, then ill be thrilled! Not sure why but the second jar doesnt appear to be colonizing downwards or upwards any more than is in the pic shown above. It may be colonizing inwards and that could be why I cant see much growth outwards. Idk im new to Agar.
Hoping to do a 3rd transfer from the same culture soon and maybe ill get some better growth going. 🤷♂️ Probably gonna make a couple plates with a print I got from a member of the site. Gotta pressure cook and sterilize some cotton swabs then be on my way.
