What hobbies can reuse your mycology equipment?
    #26871011 - 08/09/20 05:44 AM (3 years, 6 months ago)

I am accumulating quite a lot of equipment for my newfound hobby. Petri dishes, pressure cooker, lots of plastic boxes, sterile tools, mason jars, etc.

I'm wondering if all those things can be used for related activities too. Do any of you have related hobbies that make use of the same equipment as for mycology?

The pressure cooker and Mason jars are great for Canning, pickling and jarring stuff. Probably best practice to just use your myco equipment for myco projects though.

I've been looking into plant tissue culture and I've played around with cooking some meals in my little electric pc from the early days.

Yeah there are a bunch of foods that can only be safely canned using a pressure cooker.
