Clearly they are not the only two conservatives who oppose mask requirements on the basis of "freedom", but yeah the generalization you are trying to say I made does not occur anywhere in the post you quoted. It's surprising to me that you can't see that, since I assume you re-read it at least once when making the quote.

Those two individuals were not the point of the post. It just so happens that business chose to name them. I should have took a picture of a different sign. I wonder if then I would have gotten a more nuanced reply from you. Regardless the attitude in the entire state for the most part is. I don't care if its some nutjob Republican that's saying fuck the mandate im just glad someone is. My living grandparent is far from conservative. And is extremely pleased that the "mask bullshit is being taken care of properly". That's just one someone who's 80+ and liberal as can be.

I notice you didn't actually address the substance of my post. Conservative opposition to mask bans on the basis of freedom undoubtedly exists and you provided examples. Yet the freedom to not wear things you don't want to in general is not something conservatives in the US have historically tended to champion. What I'm suggesting is that to be consistent they should also support the freedom to be nude in public (the sherrif's comment could be intentionally misread to say this). Your liberal grandma may well support the freedom to do both for all I know.

What a stupid issue to take a stand on, let alone be proud of it. Some people in this country have screwed up values.

It such a minor inconvenience, with the potential for huge benefits to everyone around you and yourself. It’s the only tool that doesn’t have any negative impact on businesses. You don’t have to close anyone down. I just don’t get it. Our culture is perverse.

They’re not just dumbasses. They are moral degenerates. No different than people who drive drunk, smoke sitting next to you on a plane or subway, or secretly remove their condom while fucking someone. They are the same kind of people who take their trash and dump it down a hill alongside a road, or pour motor oil into storm drains.

America is the send your kids to war country. Have them hold guns before they can drink. This nation largely doesn't care about covid. They'll happily submit their children to environment where they'll get it

It is true, an obese 10 year old is not likely to die immediately upon consuming their 45th Whopper (of the day), but to think that this has no effect on their lifetime health is being ignorant. While no one is immortal, the actions we take on a day-to-day basis effect our timelines.
Here's some sobering statistics, check out Table 2. 55 is the new 90.

Not sure what your point is. Obviously most unhealthy behaviors start young. Fat people who get addicted to junk food as children dont deserve to die of heart attacks just cuz they got covid anymore than heroin users who get addicted as impressionable, "invincible" and impulsive teens deserve to overdose just cuz they got a batch cut with too much fent
Yeah, we all die, but for many people- myself included- having a close scrape with death serves as a wakeup call and motivates people to live more mindfully and selflessly

I'm not surprised by this and those were children born between 1945-1984 when children played outside and were active unlike the millennial. I can only imagine if the same study were to be repeated today using millennials.

That dude is my favorite medical youtube teacher. he is so enthusiastic about it and he never misses a beat- being highly knowledgeable seems effortless for him. shared his 2 videos on covid back in march, they're still on point. looks like theyve been updated a bit since
you can learn more from watching a 30min ninjanerds lecture on a specific disease than from a 3 hour lecture given by most teachers out there
his diagrams and drawings are so good too
here is the channel. just look at all that juicy knowledge
this one on endocrinology is so informative in such a short amount of time, it's ridiculous
all of them are honestly. it's ridiculous how much info he can just rattle off the top of his dome

What is very scary is I had all the symptoms he explained of COVID!
Sf - decreases surface tension
Vasodilation increased capilary permability
Decreased gas exchange and can lead to hypoxemia
___
Increased the work of breathing.
Neutrophils gonna start coming to inflammation. Try to destroy virus.they release reactive oxygen species but they wind up damaging these cells.
IL-1 IL-6
Hypothalmus (IL-1.6 high) tell it to increase fever.
Shortness of breath (Dizzyness)
Low P02 - stimulates chemoreceptors trigger sympathetic nervous system trying to increase heart rate increase respiration rate fever cough
Overall blood volume going to decrease. Tank blood pressure (hypotensive) decreases profusion to multiple organs and can lead to lead to multiple organ failure.
BUN AND CREATINE GOING TO RISE (Kidney Damage)
Liver jacked up (AST RISE ALT RISE) BILI RISE CRP, Fibronogen, Interlukin-6 elevated liver enzymes.
________________
BIG ONES
Fever Cough Shortness of breath and sometimes (present with GI or UI symptoms)
R/O influenza Fever 100.4=< RT-PCR (30-80% sensitive) Take lots of time. NAAT test
Get Blood WORK.
CBC:
Lymphopemia (80% or more) CMP (BMP. LFTS) - increased ALT, AST, and Increased Bilirubin
BMP
BUN increased, elevated creatinine.
Procalcitonin (bactieral infections) normal only elevatated if COVID and Bacteria
General makers of inflammatinon:
elevated CRP elevated ESR elevated IL-6 elevated LDH elevated D-Dimer elevated fertin
High mortality
High Troponine elevated CK-MB
--------------------
Shortness of Breath (dizzyness constantly. could not even stand up without falling) WBC11.9 K/MM3 H Neutrophils #8.5 K/uL H Monocytes #1.1 K/uL H New confusion Inability to wake or stay awake Bluish lips or face when found un-responsive 37.3°C -- 1 Degree from a clinical fever Glucose Level128 mg/dL H Potassium3.2 mmol/L L Protein, Total8.2 g/dL H
AST H
Elevated BUN Increased Bilirubin Increase Creatinine (massive indicators of organ failure of the kidneys)
14 br/min (12 being the lowest normal rate) (umm pretty concerning)?>?
______
Psychiatric:Cooperative, appropriate mood&affect (told them I was allergic to Keppra and that is why I did not want to take it they gave it to me through an IV against my will and I became extremely ill)
Also Blood pressure dropped insanely.... 120/60..... another huge sign of COVID... ___
Then to top it off a bladder infection... still can't pee normally!
But hey by the time I got the result i was negative.....

you'll see abnormal markers and crossover with all kinds of disease processes. the trick of being a good diagnostician is seeing the total picture. your blood pressure there is elevated not low (edit, well nvm it looks like you changed it? it had said 140 something over 77 previously). anyway the higher pressure would be reflective of the fact that had a lot of water in your blood vessels due to failure to urinate. which is likely why the electrolytes in your blood were low- it was diluted. i don't see your sodium listed there, what was it? the kidney has to continually process fluids in order to keep functioning. when your bladder doesnt empty, those markers like BUN and creatinine will just accumulate in the blood. are those your labs on admission or what?
with the water retention your brain soft organs- liver, instestines- and mostly importantly, brain will swell. leading to the confusion/change in consciousness.
with severe COVID, WBCs are typically low rather than high (he mentions it in the video, something like 80% of severe pts are lymphopenic), but yours are elevated. your BP will get really low when you get into septic shock, and the difference between the top number and the bottom number will get smaller, not bigger (with shock caused by heart problems, conversely, it will get bigger)
it's hard to piece together the events in your posts but now it seems to me like maybe you had a spinal cord injury following a seizure (occurring maybe because of kratom? who knows, before I thought maybe the seizure was precipitated by the dilutional hyponatremia secondary to idiopathic neurogenic bladder) which interfered with the micturition reflex and led to neurogenic bladder. the neurogenic bladder in turn led fluid to be backed up in your kidneys, vasculature, and organs, and may also have led to a UTI
check these out
micturition reflex
renal autoregulation
heres a good general one with septic shock
a respiratory rate of 14 is totally normal. mine is always lower than that unless I am working out. with covid pneumonia your respiratory rate is likely to be elevated, not reduced
whatever the case, if you cant pee at all, you absolutely needed to be catheterized. otherwise like i said your brain will swell and eventually herniate, your kidneys will fail, etc. it's a bad situation.
