4% is a lot for an lc. Doesnt mean it cant work,  but its way more than you need. Over 20 times what i use

Look how thick this one is at 0.17% LME:

:whathesaid:

The other day there was a guy saying he just made an LC with 40+ grams of karo, wtf that's a record.

1 gram of nutes per 500ml of water (0,2%) is more than enough for LC. Any surplus won't be used by the myc IME and won't serve any purpose other than clouding the LC and making it harder to see.

...so what's a clean lc taste like?

Fyi, visual inspection(contams) of lc is almost impossible. You got to put it to agar/grain to see... BEFORE tasting it.

So you only tasted uninoculated sugar/potato water? Where's the fun in that??

From a sterile tek/..whatever else point of view, I'm still unsure why you bothered tasting the broth at all:lol:

Sterile LC broth should look clear with some sediment depending on amounts of nutes used.

Got pics?

Fermented honey still tastes of honey. They make mead from honey and yeast. And sour mead from honey yeast and lactic acid bacteria.

So you skipped the first three pages of this thread? It’s clever. I’m not proud of it.

I tasted a ten days old LC (honey and distilled water) in which the mushroom died.

Look, I studied chemistry. I know what I can taste and what I should not. It’s what chemistry is all about.

It’s a bit similar to sex.

Okay, I can make explosives and so pure iron that starts burning by itself when it touches the air, but such things get old fast.

I quit school and picked another profession that allows me to look young and stay alive forever.

Now, there is someone in the mirror waiting for me. I need to go. I hope you excuse me.

By the way, the 80% wet 20% dry oat mix worked out well. Tomorrow, I will attach photos.

You can use the TEK for free.

Seriously though, I'm more interested in your mirror TEK and your immortality TEK. Please, edify me.

Drinking weird LC fine, having everlasting youth fine, but advertising Gentoo? That's crazy, Gentoo is dead and Arch buried it. Get with the times.

It might be still too wet. The next time I’ll try 7:3 ratio.

Yesterday, the third jar received one of the mycelium blocks I saved from bacteria contamination. I still have another four saved blocks. They seem healthy.

Thanks for everyone for pointing out the oat was too wet.

I want to see how these look/smell/taste when you spawn them, they might look fine now 2 days after a g2g, but we really can't tell if they worked like a charm or not yet...

If your strange demi-god job comes with that view in the second pic, I want to apply when you return to your home planet.
