Glad it's working for ya. People just try to help, when you ask for help, so that you could do better. Not sure why you'd ask otherwise. One tends to learn more if they don't think they know everything already.

It feels so much better when you realize that you simply did something incorrectly that can be easily changed, even if the change is difficult it's still a relief.

Try to keep things to one post please. Dont drag your own thread off topic by comparing people trying to help you to monkeys.
I dont think the oat jars are going to work. You could prep and dry them probably tho
No self delacred master gave you lc advice. From your link it looks like you listened to some random noob who said some noob shit but that's got nothing to do with your 'problem'. Your problem is user error.
Shit happens. Live and learn. Lighten up.

I not really worried about Bacillus thuringiensis itself surviving the PC cycle as much as I used to. Now I’m more concerned with it’s cry toxins that it produces. These cry toxins are pretty resistant to heat, more so than the bacteria that generates them. They also won’t do anything until exposed to swings in pH which activates them. There has now been some work on how they potentially can operate as a fungicide with promising results. It seems the metabolites exuded by at least some fungi, can activate the proteins and allow the toxin to inhibit fungi.
Nothing specific with cubes or other actives has been studied in this regard. But if Bt produced cry toxins are so far very effective against the limited species that have been looked at thus far, I don’t think it’s a stretch to hypothesize that they can’t be good for our cube grows.

Aren’t they toxic only for insects?
Apparently not.

It can be assumed that B. thuringiensis thuringiensis 407 (pH 408) and B. thuringiensis kurstaki HD-73 strains have inhibited the micelial growth of the phytopathogenic fungi R. solani,P. grisea,F. oxysporum and F. solani, while proteins at the tested concentrations had no effect. Hence, data from this study are promising regarding the usage of strains for the biological control of the tested fungi.
Obviously not enough work has been done to say anything definitively. But it’s definitely interesting and makes me more wary of organic grain products.

Why?
Because when I tried that the dry grains got scorched and the hydrated grains burst. It was not good.

No it was dry grains tossed into overly wet hydrated grains to balance it out. Or so I assumed.
The 'trick' to oats is thoroughly drying them.

Stop making LC out of shitty sugary media if you don’t like it being sugar shocked. I got some potato LC going right now that’s kicking ass.

What does a clean vs dirty lc taste like?

Bad LC tastes like bad wine bro, dontcha know? Seriously, drinking it sounds pretty disgusting and you'd have to be a bit socially awkward to admit such a thing in public and expect no reaccion.

I was always curious what LC tasted like, but not curious enough to actually drink it. Thanks for taking that hit for me Vylie!

I am curious how you went about this in any way that wouldn't contaminate it assuming it was clean to start with.

While the rest of us mere mortals are testing LC on agar to verify if it’s axenic, OP has been blessed with the ability of super taste. Sounds definitive. Case closed.

Y'all are just a bunch of inconsiderate pricks, dudes. Now the OP is gonna have to make a huge post, quoting every person who gave her shit for the LC tasting test. That's a lot of work y'all are putting on her shoulders and y'all deserve the wall of text that's coming to every one of ya.
