Any guidelines you follow?
I learned from getting cramps on mushies that I have a magnesium deficiency (most people do) so it helps me to supplement with magnesium. During the trip ill usually have water with some fine seasalt added to it, as well as regular water. I generally try to eat a good breakfast and maybe a 2nd good meal at least 4 hours before dosing.

I always try to eat my last solid food 4 hours before I drink the mushroom tea. Then I will rinse the tea glass out with 150ml of orange juice, which serves two purposes: 1) masks the lemony taste of the tea; 2) stops my blood sugar dropping for the first 4 hours. I usually find I am lucid enough at around 4 hours to be able to cook something, and I do start to feel hungry as I’m coming down.
I have to watch myself from heading towards the sweets cupboard though and eating loads of crap!
Take care DJ Ed

I always eat a heavy and healthy meal 6 hours before my trip and then I don’t eat until after the trip or once I start to comedown. My meal is almost always a nice heap of oatmeal with fruits, that usually carries me until I eat after the trip.
If you’re consuming the mushrooms whole, the cramps may be a result of digesting them. Most people have some trouble with them due to the chitins. I usually get some cramps/gas on anything 2.5g and above. If you want to continue eating them whole, I’d recommend a PE variety since you’ll generally get the same level of effects with a lot less mushrooms. Otherwise, try making tea and see how that affects you and if your cramps still remain.

I'va never had a single problem with my stomach while on shroom, even if i eat 30 min before dose.. Btw i've never eaten them fresh, just raw dry or lemon tek'd. During the trip, the only thing i can eat is fruits or raw vegetables, everything else seems too strage to eat.. Meat is quite a blasphemy.

Cramps are often a sigh of dehydration. Are they in your legs? stomach? The two things I found personally is; eat a small to moderate meal 2 hours before ingestion, this cuts hunger anxiety amplifying the initial come up anxiety and make sure I am well hydrated. I have a veracious metabolism so my stomach and intestines are like a blast furnace. They day before I trip I start drinking the amount of water we are suppose be drinking a day before, which is about 14-16 fl oz. Think of water/good hydration as the motor oil for your cells. Lets face it, our body is a hard working biological machine. Our brain alone consumes around 25% of your energy.
Keeping well hydrated does wonders for mind, body and I have found it guarantees more solid visuals from my experience. Also I pee and excrete (non emotional) tears from my eyes during the first two- three hours of a moderate to high mushrooms trip anyways which explains why so many complain of headaches/cramps on the tail end of the trip due to improper hydration.

Large dose of B vitamins, water right before dosing. I keep fresh fruit around and gummies to eat mid trip, everything else grosses me out when tripping.
