Who likes eating competitions? * 1
    #26868555 - 08/07/20 02:47 PM (3 years, 5 months ago)

Youtube suggested to me the channel "Katina Eats Kilos" a week or 2 ago,and I watched a few of her videos and got hooked, her last few videos is her Alaskan Tour and she is doing it with a guy named Randy Santel, so I watched a few of his videos too and he is better then her, but I still like her better, heres their latest video

She uses a stop watch to time herself, so I bought one too, the first challenge I am going to try is the burger king family deal, with a coupon I have im going to get 2 whoppers, 2 jr whoppers, 4 fries and 4 drinks, for $19.99, its about 5k to 6k calories for the whole thing

I already did 2 test runs, one on tuesday, and one on thursday

so a week or 2 ago I got a $15 salad bowl from the grocery store, I got it to split with my gf, but she ended up not wanting any, and she has small bowls, I got about 6 bowls out of it, I had 2 a day for 3 days

so for my test run on tuesday I went to get one $15 salad bowl to eat to my face, but then the grocery store was sold out of them, so I got 2 $7 salad bowls to eat instead thinking its the same amount of food, I didnt pay attention to any of the details, but I remember 1 was 430 calories, but they might have been different, one was greek salad and one was cesar salad, it took me 10 minutes and 14 seconds to eat both salads

then on Wednesday I had to do my gf's grocery shop because she cant leave her house, and I saw 1 $15 cesar salad bowl, so I grabbed it, it comes with 3 sachets of dressing, and I grabbed an extra 3 (because when I had it weeks ago I didnt grab any extra dressing so after the third bowl I had to start using oil and vinegar)

So on Thursday I decided to try again, and I payed attention to all the details

the salad was 910g (2 lbs), a serving size was 250g, and there was 280 calories per serving

salad = 1019.2 calories

the dressing was 230 calories and I used 5 sachets total for 1150 calories

I just looked at the dressings calories on wednesday, and I started to get a racing mind when I was trying to sleep, why was it so many calories, what kinda hidden sugars were going to be in it, then on thurday I payed attention to the details, all those calories came from fat, 1g carbs with 0g sugar, I felt much better, I would almost consider that a health food except it used a bad oil, canola oil was the first ingredient, which skewed the omega 6 (5g) to omega 3 (2g) ratio, it would have been much better if it was olive oil or coconut oil

so salad + dressing = 2169.2 calories, wow, the dressing more then doubled the calorie content

so I hit the timer and dug in, I ate the whole thing in 12 minutes and 32 seconds, I might have been able to cut off an extra minute if I thought of grabbing a spoon, at the end it was all bacon bits, and they were falling off the fork, took me a second to get through the bacon bits

On one of Randy Santels videos he says he eats as much as he can 20 hours before a contest to stretch his stomach out, this dosnt really work with my fasting schedule so I will have to modify my schedule to fit in this new hobby

so 20 hours before my burger king challenge, I am going to try and eat 2 $15 salads, maybe I wont finish them both (4lbs of salad), but 1 wasnt enough to stretch out my stomach, I will probably just use a pinch of olive oil and vinegar for the dressing next time, I dont need an extra 2000 calories of dressing on 2000 calories of salad

So let me get this straight. In order to prepare for some crazy burgerking 4 burger 6000kcal challenge, you are going to eat a bunch of salad

:ancientaliens:

Also eating competitions gross me the fuck out. I cannot watch that

Seven pounds of food is up to 3.1 liters of stomach content.

I think I COULD
but
I NEVER WOULD

It would give me a heart attack. I would be so sick and miserable for days.

I'm a very fat guy but I got fat eating not too big meals, too often.

This gourmand stuff, stuffing yourself to full capacity, it repulses me morally.

On a hot day, a 2.5 liter (2/3 gallon) pitcher of water can go down the hatch in 10 minutes.

This "challenge" is a poisoning.

There could be pver half an ounce of salt in there, to name just salt.

You're using peoples gluttony and greed and potential eating disorders as a business model, becvause most cannot self poison to this extent and will have to pay.

Thats my moral objection. You're tricking people into harming themselves for personal gain.

Quote:

I want to recommend you to find a homeless family (mom and kids) and treat them to that and monetize that on Youtube  instead of forking down 6000 kcal in that form.

4 BK fries is 1 plate of über salty fries. I'd specify with ordering "hold the salt on the fries" so your blood pressure won't go through the roof.

Let one of the drinks be effervescent and sugarfree so the bubbles will help settle the food in your stomach, I propose the rest is flat mineral water. You dont want that much cola, thetd be lots of sugar, caffeine and acidity.

Now the magic trick: insist on no pickles on the burgers.

Thats crucial at Burger King.

Pickles are no meaningful ingredient of the burgers but if you specify without, they are forced to make em for you and you get your 4 burgers right off the grill instead of from under the heat lamp. Its a dick move with the fries too, but in the case of the unsalted fries the several grams of salt would seriously add to your sodium intoxication from the 4 burgers.

If you really want to do it, do it like this and you have the best possible chances to complete the challenge with the least health complications.

Asante being Asante I'd tip a teaspoon of epsom salt in the final bottle of mineral water to ensure as many of the calories and digestables of the food as possible end up in the toilet without you getting a butt hernia for trying to pass all that meat. A teaspoon of epsom salt will assure that several ounces of water will accompany the stool down your pipes keeping it soft, moist and mobile so its outta there fast.

Chew well.

They are body builders that would otherwise have to drink protein shakes. Given the choice I would rather eat burgers then drink that stuff! The stomach can stretch and with the proper training it can happily handle these eating competitions. But you and I would probably die! FYI 3000 calories a day is the norm for body builders.

I tried an eating challenge once at my favourite poutine joint. Their main attraction was poutine and it was spectacular. I'd go get the pulled pork and he had this habanero jelly that was out of this world. He had this challenge and I think I was the second person to try it. He'd make whatever poutine you want but you'd have a time limit, it was free if you won and you got your picture up on the wall. Cool. It was a badass poutine.

I get the thing and what he did was take an extra-large stryfoam container. Like closed it was probably 3L. And he just mounds each side. So if you put enough that you couldn't close this thing in there, and then did it on both sides.. that's what I got. Of pulled pork and fries. It was like 8lb. I was working out a lot at the time and I think that helped because I ate maybe 60% or more, but I was ultimately defeated in battle. The man was nice enough to send me home with a complimentary jar of that habanero jelly though and I was hella greatful. To my dismay that poutine place is no longer there, truly a Canadian landmark worth remembering

Aren't you the one who's always going on/posting about striving to be healthy, posting about strange diets and other weird dietary/health things?

Aren't you often going on about/posting about fasting?

Didn't you make a thread about drinking borax?

I kinda recall you mentioning something about eating teaspoons of salt every day?

I also kinda recall you posting some things about drinking urine....Maybe I have you confused with someone else? Pretty sure it's you tho.

And now you're trying to not only eat a bunch of really terrible/garbage food, but you're trying to stuff your entire gut full of it as fast as you can? :lolwut:

Years ago in Sihanoukville Cambodia I just happened upon a food challenge,
first one I ever saw. Well the restaurant specialized in exotic meats including alligator.
This Guy was doing a travel log video series and his friend was filming it.
I think the challenge was something about 7 lbs of meat plus some fries.

I just drank beer and watched. He went at it hard but about 3/4's way through he ended up barfing all over the rest of what was left on his plate.
Everybody was going EEUUUUUW,, so I yell out

" If your not going to finish that, Can I have the rest ?"

They must have a strenuous workout regime to burn off all those calories...
Think I absorbed a few calories just by watching that.

Real world question/ hard turn thread derail

You can burn calories by thinking hard, it’s a documented thing that happens especially among chess players. What I wonder is if your body can absorb calories through....smell ?

salt dosnt effect my blood pressure, its a myth that it effects everyones blood pressure, you have to be sensitive to its blood pressure effects for it to do anything, and most people arnt, and the people who are only get a 2/1 reduction in blood pressure from going on a low salt diet, but low salt diets increase heart rate by 10 percent which is way worse for a cardiovascular event, spend the $20 to get the book "the salt fix" by James Dinicolantonio, but its not the most entertaining read, I only liked a few chapters in it, but because of that book I increased my salt intake to 2 teaspoons a day

though depending on how you load the salt you could retain/kick water, which will temporarily raise/lower your blood pressure, but thats the water doing it not the salt

and I just skimmed the menu, the 4 burgers and 4 fries is 3790 mg of sodium, I get more then that in on fasting days

You like salad more than vegetables?  :confused2:

Vegetables are in salads.  A salad is a combination of various ingredients, and greek salads have vegetables in them...and fruit if you wanna be technical about it.

You need epsom salt suitable for internal use though.

Not all magnesium sulfate is created equally. Fertilizer grade, the most common kind, may contain heavy metals.

trying to chomp down on poisonous dosages of foods that distend the stomach, to win a competition.

The Guinness Book of Records isn't doing it anymore. Its beyond fun, in a bad way.

So I failed my next goal, eating two salads, I got a 910g cesar salad and a 1.26kg greek salad, I ate the 2 pound cesar salad in 15 minutes and started the greek salad, I got through about half a pound of the greek salad before I was starting to feel sick, so I ate 2.5 pounds of salad and then couldnt eat anymore salad, I wasnt full, I ate a slice of pizza after and I could have probably ate another slice, so my stomach wasnt stretched, I just couldnt handle anymore salad without feeling sick

im still going to try the burgerking challenge, im hoping fastfood is engineered to make you keep eating more, and the fact that its 2 different foods (fries and burgers) after im sick of the burgers, fries are different so I could still eat them

but overall im sad I couldnt eat the salad till i was full and my body noped out of that one before I was full

I wonder what was in those salads. You should be able to eat vegetables to load bearing capacity, so there were likely additives. It could have been bacteria, lack of hygiene.

BK fries are super salty. Omit the fries just try to eat 2 triple stacked XXL King burgers instead.

its only 3790mg of sodium for the whole family deal, optimal salt intake is between 3000mg to 6000mg, most people will instinctively use 3000mg to 4000mg if left to their own device over the whole day

fun fact, they tell pregnant women to eat less salt, I forget the exact number, I think it might be 1500mg, but whatever the number was they wont hit the recommended daily value of iodine unless they know to eat high iodine foods, and lack of iodine fucks fetuses up

There are places that sell edible clay, thats natural river clay from a clean source, people dilute it to a thin mud and drink it.

It replenishes minerals and cleans your pipes.

You can't do it with regular hobby store clay cause soime are chemically treated and could kill you.

Imma take this opportunity to flex that I won a watermelon eating contest of 5 contestants at a middle east festival. The challenge was to eat 4 slices of melon to the green first to win. I beat a guy damn near twice my size, and won a free shawarma voucher, funnily after i had already purchased one. As i walked off the stage a group of beautiful looking middle eastern women stopped me for congratulations! Felt Good mang.

I just saw a post by Randy Santel, looks like they fell in love on this tour, when she finishes school they are going to travel and do challenges together in 2021

I left a comment on his post saying he is going to make her fat, she was working off all the weight between challenges but he will do like 4 in a week

I like to watch eating contests in reverse. It's pretty funny. It looks like people pulling hotdogs out of their mouth and putting them on a plate.
