looking to improve my fruiting chamber

So everyone my current set up is a 4x2 grow tent, with a large shelving unit inside. to bring in humidity i use a ultra-sonic fogger in a separate container and i pipe the humidity in to the fruiting chamber. Its all automated as i have a humidity probe as an input with a exhaust fan/fogger as outputs. Im fitting 15 turkey trays in here, that i line with thin small trash bags, then i cover them in foil with a small filter path of micro pore for gas exchange for colonization.
some areas im looking to upgrade in, i heard mycelium will eat aluminum foil, is this true? lining every tray takes a lot of tedious time. and the plastic holds moisture, etc.
i really like working with the fogger/charmber as i feelit will out produce monotubs while also being more simple. what have you guys seen done, or have personally done to get LARGE yields in a greenhouse set up? thanks!

A green house you speak of is called a Murtha. I personally don't use automated systems, I like to check on my mushies daily incase I can spot an issue to quickly take care of
Also, pictures are more helpful than text.

You think a fogger will out produce a monotub? I ran both and the monotub is my preference hands down. Not to say you can’t make a fogger work, but it’s not worth the effort. If your monos cannot do better you either built them like shit or don’t have them dialed in.

Dunno about simpler- can't get simpler than a well dialed mono.

I agree with pasty. I spent some dollars building this kind of automated system and in the end I tore it all down. the components sit in the closet while the tubs just stack up. I get better yields from tubs and there is less work involved with them. Trays in my experience do no even come close to monos. Unless you have a truly dialed in chamber and that is just hard to achieve. Plus the chances are extremely high you will eventually lose an entire chamber worth of work.

unless ur running shit like pans or other exotics all that shit is pointless!! you can not and will not out perform a monotub!! pastys EZ dial is about the best one ive ever used also. but im telling you from personal experience ditch all the bullshit and just go with his design. all of that crap will only hinder your results and u will spend more time playing with it than what its even worth. we have all been there done that. do what i did and take all that other crap and put it in a pile in the garage and save it til u progress well enough to grow some more exotic species. but if ur just wanting a toy to play with go to the toy store and buy 1 but if u want a good grow and more mushies than u can eat or give away then follow this advice and just use a well proven monotub. pastys ez is fuckin killer and bods unmodified is great also

I even did my old tubs with holes up with pastys ez dailed tek and they produce like champions with micropore over the holes. Never had better flushes. I do add a little personal touch to dial for the genetics that like way more fresh air than others. That ez dialed tek is the frigging tits.

hey guys, my fruiting chamber does pretty well compared to my tubs... granted im no professional and this is just my own experience...
i also get a higher contam rate with tubs, ridiculous i know. but hear me out... i can do 15+ trays with no contams, use the same extra substrate left over and spawn, and boom. 3 out of 4 of my monos have trich.
i will admit my monos do not produce the same weight i think they should, so they may be flawed. i actually experimented with a few just recently.. no holes, and just cracked the top for a few hours a day... fruited just fine...
the reason im leaning towards the greenhouse is, i always have such a nice even pinset, they fruit very thick, but are a pain to harvest.. i will look into the mentioned pastys and bods TEK's thank you all so much for the insight! back to tubs, and more research i suppose... !!

A good mono looks like this. If yours don’t you’re doing something wrong.

looks like im doing something wrong pasty, thank you much for the insight. im already looking into bod's un-modified... my tubs look "good" but not "GOOD"
im also just getting into a really nice isolate ive been working on agar, so im hoping that should help too.
one last thing, maybe you guys can help me with. I struggle with multiple flushes and the concept in general. my fruits are done usually in stages that i wouldn't call a flush.. i pick them at the veils break until there is just no more pins.. and example, ill have a nice first "flush" and pick all the ones that are popped... but the smaller pins never grow after a soak, or there is just no more pins. i harvest the first flush, and viola, nothing left on the substrate. can i get a little more in depth elaboration please?

The small pins that don’t grow are aborts and need to be removed. Also the above tub was ms.

thanks pasty, appreciate it. any clue or idea why im getting a higher contam rate with monotubs, than with trays? just coincidence? (same spawn, location, day/time, and substrate)

Might be the spawn is doing better in the higher FAE but that’s not exactly a fix. Eventually it will catch up and it’s just looking worse in the monos first. Get that spawn cleaner, it allows for a better yield as well.
