Habitat : In bare soil garden bed and heavily hay mulched garden.
Bruising : None noticeable.
Spore Print Colour : Dark purple.
Gills : Blackish in colour.
Stem : 5cm in length. Golden brown\ Grayish colour.
Cap : 1.2 cm.
http:// http:// http:// Location : Barrie , Ontario.
Other Information : Psilocybe Galindoi or Atl #7 is what I inoculated around 10 jars with. About 3-4 weeks ago I put my substrate into my garden beds and now during the rain these mushrooms came up. I am not sure if they are Psilocybe Galindoi and need help identifying them.

Very interesting. They do resemble Psilocybe sp. Take spore prints.

If you actually got galindoi or atl7 to grow in Canada. Thatd be pretty cool

Psilocybe galindoi is what it looks like, they will bruise bluish and have purplish spores
I'm 99.999999% sure that it's Psilocybe galindoi since you planted substrate there

Thank you!
I will try to put a specimen on agar as well as the spore prints.
Being a stone producer , would that possibly increase the chances of the mycelium surviving winter?

In your area probably not. Its a more tropical/subtropical species that probably wouldn't handle a heavy hard freeze of the ground too well. There's always a chance though so I wouldn't count it completely out.

Insulation, but make sure it doesn't cause it to go anaerobic and kill the mycelium you are trying to protect. Perhaps cardboard or plywood, supported by rocks or something so it doesn't lay flat on the ground, topped with more layers of cardboard or leaves. It doesn't take a lot to keep the ground temperature up in the winter.

http:// I will be trying that. There is some weeds that I was planning to kill with mulch nearby that I can use as extra insulation. My hugelkulture raised garden bed is ideal for keeping temperatures up as it is about 5 feet of logs stacked on each other covered with hay.
