First time agar - is this mycelium?

This is spore syringe to agar - after a day or two I got white fuzzy spots on maybe 1/4 of my plates, so based on the timelines I had read I assumed they were mold or something. Now it's been 6 days though, they've grown more and I am thinking it may be mycelium? My other plates at 6 days - 1/2 are empty, and the other 1/4 have the small white fuzzy dots....I haven't found many example pics from this early on so figured I'd ask. The dark spots are bubbles - thanks in advance

I would guess that's too soon to see mycelium. 2 days is little too fast.

If they were my plates and there wasn't something immediately threatening that I would need to transfer away from, I would watch them a bit longer - if it's cube myc it should start looking like it pretty soon. I would also inoculate a couple new plates. Are your plates unwrapped just for the photo?

For reference I did 20 plates, 5 or 6 had small white spots at 2 days which now look like those pics. Today though, it's day 7 and I'm now seeing small white fuzz on just about every plate, not clear yet if it's the same fuzz as those pics. Only 1 plate has definite contam of something green. So guess it will be more clear with time?
My wrapping was a little sloppy and there are some gaps at edges, will get it better next time - I have the plates sitting in a covered tub, just removed for pics. Where/how do you keep your plates after inoculating?

Yeah you definitely want to wrap plates completely around the edge with either parafilm or plastic wrap (cut the last 2" off a roll). I just wrap and leave my plates on a table after inoculating.
Inoculating 20 plates is kind of a lot since you are only going to need to transfer myc from one plate after it's germinated. You'll have to throw out a lot of plates this way. I only usually inoculate a couple plates.

When I started doing this I did around 9-10 plates streaked from one print, I've settled on 5-6 now.
That myc looks promising but still, grow it out. 2 days is way too quick IMO.

Ya on the 20 plates - only did 4 or 5 for each variety I got, I'm moving from syringe to agar all at once - that makes sense though. And yes I noticed a couple plates I have a small contam right by the edge where I didn't wrap all the way - now I know
Here's some pics from this morning - the PE plate in person looks very much like pics of mycelium I've seen unless I'm wrong. And the TC plate looks like maybe tomentose growth? Still too early to transfer? Thanks for taking a look

Thanks for the replies - here's my 1st transfers - again this was originally from MS syringe. Do I really need to do more than 1 transfer here? I've had about 30 plates from these syringes now and only 1 had a contaminate.
Should I throw these in the fridge once they've grown a bit more and call it a day? Or would there be a reason to do 2nd/etc transfers?

Yeah they look clean so you can grow then out (I only grow them 2/3rds of the way) and inoculate masters, store them in the fridge etc.

For the sake of updating - all turned out well, it was myc after all and I was able to do transfers etc to clean up anything that looked fishy - thanks for the info
