Not the best information. I don`t like the idea of killing the good microbes in the coir with sterilization. Bucket tek always works fine, and isn`t the cause for trich for sure.
afaik i didnt recommend coir sterilization, i dont do it either coir pc sterilization is a complete waste of time almost as much a waste of time as boiling popcorn 2 hours

Coir is actually one of the few substrates that can't be sterilized. It doesn't have many microorganisms living in it to begin with but the few there are are necessary to prevent contams.

So I have just been using an instant pot because it is what I already had. I don’t know how that compares to a regular pressure cooker? I usually throw in a cup of water, then the jars, and set it for 90 minutes (I’ll be doing 2 hours at least based on this thread though, from now on). The timer doesn’t start until it has come to temp/pressure. Is that just as effective as a regular pressure cooker? Is there anything else I should tweak? Is getting a different pressure cooker necessary for this purpose?

Instant pots are fine as long as they hit 15psi. I used one for a long time but it only had presets so I had to read the manual to figure out which ones would get to 15. The chicken button is what I ended up using.
